We continue our discussion of the last of the three main perspectives in the Fifth Season by NK Jemisin. This perspective also gave us more insight into the realities of the world and what is happening since the “end of the world”. We also begin to understand a little bit more of what is going on in this unique universe.

Next up: A discussion of all of our questions, theories, and just general enjoyment of the book as a whole.

Also, we’ll be trying to post some of our questions, thoughts, and discussions while we are reading the upcoming books and stories. They’ll probably contain some spoilers, so we’ll try and tag them with the approximate point in the book they are from.

We continue our discussion of the second of the three main perspectives in the Fifth Season by NK Jemisin. Spencer continues to be difficult with his using ‘correct’ words. All in all this had some of our favorite development of characters and relationships. This perspective also gave us more insight into the goings on in the world rather than the Damaya perspective with the relationship between Orogenes, guardians, and the Fulcrum.

We start in on the Fifth Season, and settle on a reasonable way to discuss the book (at least to start) going through each of the “main” characters in order of age. We go through Damaya this episode and start in a little bit of the world that is the broken earth.

Up next Syenite.

We’ll probably be doing a short story or two after this, maybe some Nebula/Hugo winner. Suggestions welcome.

We accede to the force that is Game of Thrones final season, with the second in the Dunk and Egg series (in appropriately enough A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms). We cover about the first half of the story in this first episode. Spencer regales us with a bit of the history of the Seven Kingdoms and Sarah drinks wines and knows things.
