Listen, what else was I supposed to call this episode, it fit with the double M's?  This week Katie recaps the Murdaugh Murders docuseries on Netflix with the updates that literally happened days ago in court on this one.  It is sordid, it is twisted, it has drugs, it has murder, and it's got the southern prominence and old money that usually keeps people out of court and trouble...but not this time.  If you're soaking up these true crime docs on streaming services like everyone else this will give a quick overview and sort out the time line!  And at the end of the day just be happy Katie did not do it in her terrible southern accent that she perfected in Tennessee.

Listen Chloe is apparently drawn deep inside her soul to Lake Orion Michigan as she has brought us back here again.  But this time we're not on the set of the reality talk tv shows.  This time we're looking at a Rental company owner and his amicable treatment of his ex wife.  And how the cruelest most unthinkable actions can come from the most unlikely sources.  Side note, maybe if you are a friggin murderer and you have your girlfriend be your alibi, you should probably be super nice....just a thought.  Actually scratch that, be a jerk and that way you don't get away with killing people

Strap your butts on folks, this one is a long one, but there was zero way to not have this be longer, the Rhoden family had eight victims in this crime coined the Piketon Massacre, which is probably THE most notorious mass murder in Ohio's history.  Katie uncovers the ridiculous motive the family that took part in this crime had for such a large scale, horrifying scene.  Sprinkle in some police misconduct that is uncovered a long the way and there is so much thread to keep pulling at with this one!  PSA, do not steal, but definitely don't do it for a Nissan Versa.

This week Chloe covers the Michigan Murders, a gross loser who terrorized the area of Ypsilanti in the 60's.  The wild way he was eventually caught, especially considering DNA wasn't an option yet during this time and the close call he had getting caught once before his eventual capture.  You get to hear commentary from the two bebe's bc unfortunately everyone has been wilding out this week.  Seriously though, we love you guys and even though there wasn't always a way to edit around the fussing, we love getting the stories out to you.  So send good vibes for nap times being respected by the two savages going forward! :)

This week we are covering Steven Zelich, aka mrhandcuffs, this is a listener request brought to us by Jozie.  We dive into his crappy past and the red flags that led up to the horrendous acts committed against his two victims and how our perception of people interests or jobs can lead the public perception into falsely believing people somehow played their own hand in their fate.  As Jeffrey Dahmer in the past proved to us that Stallis isn't only the joyous land of cheese curds and creme puffs, Steven Zelich proved that no matter how okay on the outside something looks there can be disgusting horrible just under the surface!

Honestly, I'm not even sure what to say this guys name was because he had more names than I can remember....and the only thing he had more than names was wives.  Homeboy clearly would have been buying what Sister Wives was selling because while he was only convicted of one murder he more than likely had around 50.  You can hear about his weird list of rules for entrapping women, which is both offensive, and shockingly probably not that wrong.  This freak was pulling his crap all over the country before it finally caught up with him.  Finally what ended up getting this turkey butthole caught is that preserving bodies changed and his murder could no longer be hidden.  Chloe is finally welcomed into the Sconnie Club as her daughter hits a HUGE milestone.  We break shocking Rocky news as well as talk Rocky's nails and bathing routine.  Until next week, you Maniacs!

Join us this week as Katie's husband becomes an unwilling participant in the podcast.  It took hours of editing out sighs of annoyance, but here it is after popular demand!   We took a turn off the beaten path of true crime and we go over some of the folklore tales of Bosnia,  Mirza spot checks pronunciation and is as shocked as Katie was by some of these.  We cover snakes that sneak into your mouth while you sleep, how to escape a pissed off ex-girlfriend from tormenting, and also how to identify a witch.  But really the crown jewel, and I have to believe an article at some point in the National Enquirer, is the life cycle of a dragon and woman who claims to have given birth to one, and even had a neighbor fact check it and confirm.  

And just in case your like "Whoa, what's going on in Bosnia?"  Katie's been, and says its sooo gorgeous, the food is great and the people are friendly, so basically the midwest of Europe, also they make some amazing Rakija (fruit brandy) so assuming they'd love a good old fashioned just like the lovely Sconnies do!  10/10 would definitely recommend you make a trip there!
