In his first Sunday as Senior Pastor of Mannahouse, Pastor Derrill brought an encouraging message from Joshua 6. He challenged the congregation to obedience in spite of the fear, reminding them that impossible situations are not impassable and that courage from God activates strength. Walking listeners through Joshua 6, he demonstrated how facing a Jericho requires obedience, perseverance, and consecration.
In this historic Succession Weekend sermon, Senior Pastors Marc and Susan Estes share personal stories and reflections of God's faithfulness throughout their lives. They honored the many who have sacrificed and served faithfully to partner with God in His mission through Mannahouse and blessed their successors, Pastors Derrill and Michal Corbin. Surely, God has been faithful, He is faithful, and He will forever be faithful!
While it's one thing to receive a promise from God, it's another to be committed to that promise. In this message, Pastor Asim encourages listeners on their lifelong journey to be committed to God. Examining Joshua 5, Asim demonstrates how we must commit to God's pruning process, commit to let go of the past, commit to trust in God's unfailing faithfulness, and commit to God's presence.
This week, Pastor Derrill Corbin shares an impactful message titled "Stepping Into Promise" from the series Crossing Rivers, Taking Cities. In this sermon, we dive into Joshua 3 & 4, exploring how God leads His people into their promised inheritance. From the crossing of the Jordan River to the building of memorials, we learn powerful truths about overcoming barriers, seizing prophetic destiny, and walking in unity. Whether you're facing challenges or stepping into a new season, this message will inspire you to trust God's timing and take bold steps of faith!
In this second message in the series "Crossing Rivers, Taking Cities," Pastor Derrill examines Joshua 2, pulling principles from the text which would encourage those who want to receive God's promises and walk in their inheritance. He demonstrates how prophetic promises require strategic partnership and that God is at work before the people of God even arrive at their place of destiny. The people of God are challenged to expect God to redeem the seemingly impossible. Even the darkest places can be incubators for God's prophetic promises!
In this message, Pastor Derrill introduces a new sermon series, "Crossing Rivers, Taking Cities: A Study Through The Book of Joshua." Setting the stage for an inspiring journey through Joshua, he calls listeners to discern the difference between the God's workman and God's work, invites them to join God in what He is doing, and inspires them to go all in, holding nothing back.
In this message, Pastor Derrill continues his sermon which poses the question, "Who do you think you are?" Studying the life of Naomi, he addresses the stories people tell themselves inside their own heads and invites listeners to shed discouragement, find their identity in Christ, and walk in faith in the God who is "I am."
In this message oriented toward those navigating a transition season, Pastor Derrill poses the question, "Who do you think you are?" He challenges listeners to carefully examine the stories they're telling themselves and and invites them to align their thinking with God's thoughts. Using the example of what God did for Moses when he encountered him at the burning bush, Pastor Derrill reminds listeners that God wants to lift them up and remind them you they are in the Lord.
In this message, Pastor Derrill departs from his planned message to encourage the church about God's plan for his Ekklesia ("Church") to bring the Kingdom of God to earth and to not shrink back. He challenges listeners to move forward couragously with the mind of Christ, growing together into a dwelling place for God with the materials, design, and vision God gives.
Pastor Derrill shares a faith-filled message from his heart for the Rocky Butte Campus as they prepare to merge the Downtown Campus into the Portland Campus and concentrate efforts to minister to Portland and the Pacific Northwest through the power of God. He challenges listeners to walk in the faith that in Christ "nothing will be impossible for you" (Matthew 17:20), including the seemingly impossible and insurmountable.
