Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the San Diego Padres series loss in Pittsburgh against the Pirates. After losing two in a row to the Washington Nationals over the weekend, you'd think they would've come out and not looked as flat as they did on Tuesday in game one of the series. Yu Darvish didn't start because he was sick and Steven Wilson was placed on the 15-day IL. Manny Machado said he didn't have time to speak to the media after the 9-4 loss. Although he spoke the following day, was it still a bad look for the guy who's viewed as the captain of the team? Blake Snell put San Diego in position to win on Wednesday but the offense scored just one run. Joe Musgrove was on the mound in the final game of the series.
