We are ready for a LOADED weekend of championship action from Las Vegas to London and back to Texas on the newest "Big Fight Weekend Preview" show/podcast.
Host T.J. Rives and insider Dan Rafael (in Vegas) were LIVE on Thursday afternoon on our Youtube channel, but you are now hearing the full show on podcast as well
They talk first about the reason Big Dan is in Las Vegas for the Saturday "PBC on Prime Video" PPV and PPV.COM in Las Vegas. It's the return of the Pac-man as Manny Pacquiao takes on Mario Barrios for his WBC welterweight title. Pacquiao is back at 46 years old and off a four year layoff to attempt to reclaim a world title. What kind of realistic shot does he have.
In the co-feature, Sebastian Fundora rematches Tim Tszyu for Fundora’s WBC junior middleweight title. There first fight was marred by Tszyu being a bloody mess from the beginning on an accidental elbow. Will Tszyu get his big revenge or will it be another important night for Fundora. The guys discuss and Dan goes over the undercard with
Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz vs. Angel Fierro, rematch, 12 rounds, junior welterweights
Brandon Figueroa vs. Joet Gonzalez, 12 rounds, WBA featherweight eliminator
Gary Russell Jr. vs. Hugo Castaneda, 10 rounds, lightweights
Alan David Picasso vs. Kyonosuke Kameda, 10 rounds, junior featherweights
Mark Magsayo vs. Jorge Mata Cuellar, 10 rounds, junior lightweights
Next, they turn their attention to the DAZN/Queensberry Promotions undisputed heavyweight title rematch between unified champ Oleksandr Usyk and now, IBF champ, Daniel Dubois. Usyk is one of the greats in the sports, won easily in their first fight two years ago and is the clear favorite. But, now the bout is in London and Dubois has scored a couple of impressive wins, including a brutal KO of former champ Anthony Joshua. Will it be different this time?
Also, they talk the Saturday Matchroom Boxing card DAZN in Frisco, Texas
Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez of San Antonio meets South African Phumelele Cafu for the WBC/WBO junior bantamweight titles. Bam is a great talent and is favored, but could Cafu pose a threat?
And they wrap with the news of Turki Alashikh announces no more DAZN PPVs beginning with the Nov. 22 Benavidez-Yarde loaded Riyadh card. How long will this last?
