Today - The Mansfield City Council ponders home varmint issues... Can you hire a licensed, commercial nuisance wild animal control officer to trap and take away from your property live animals that may carry rabies, such as raccoons, skunks and possums? Does the City of Mansfield, which is a charter city, have the "Home Rule" ability to write ordinances that don't always that jibe with state laws and regulations? These kinds of questions came up Tuesday night during an otherwise quickly-flowing Mansfield City Council meeting as local lawmakers pondered a change to the city's ordinance governing hunting and trapping within city limits.
Also, From Knox Pages…All of Knox County’s school districts have or will in the coming days return to optional mask policies. Masks are still required on school buses under a federal mandate.
