The Mansfield Fire Department is one step closer to getting the “green light” for purchasing two new pumper trucks. The Mansfield Board of Control gave its "consensus" approval on Tuesday to a fire department request to spend $1.4 million on two new pumper trucks. That approval is based on determining the best way to pay for the new trucks, which will also require the approval of City Council.
