The festival was first scheduled for October 6th, and several Israeli news outlets — such as Haaretz, Ynet, and Channel 12 — stated that it was extended to October 7th. The organizers claimed that they had obtained final approval to carry on with the event, approval which was given by the Israeli authorities.
This is important since Israeli intelligence had already been given repeated warnings concerning Hamas preparing for a large-scale incursion. According to a report by Haaretz, Israeli military intelligence had a detailed document outlining Hamas' plan many months before the attack took place. The report stated that the document had been rejected by senior officials. Further warnings were provided by Egyptian intelligence, which informed its Israeli counterparts that "something big" was coming. Although Israeli officials downplayed the seriousness of the warning, the Egyptian sources maintained their statement.
Even though there had been such warnings, there was no evacuation order, no cancellation of the festival, no relocation, and no increased security at the site.
The festival's location is also recorded; it took place near the Re’im military base. Israeli media have confirmed that the resistance carried out the attack on the base first. This is in keeping with Hamas' own statements that their aim was at military personnel and not at civilians. Regardless of whether one believes Hamas or not, it is a fact that the festival was held next to a military target. A fact msm doesn't speak about when they ask everyone and their mother “do you condemn Hamas?”
At the start of the attack, the Israeli forces terrorists took a long time to react. People who survived said that they had to wait for hours before being rescued. In some cases, they said that Israeli helicopters opened fire on them —the Hannibal Directive, a long-standing Israeli military policy that permits the use of lethal force to prevent soldiers from being captured, even when civilians are present. Although the Israeli government has never denied that the directive exists, it has denied that it was used on October 7th. However, several Israeli soldiers terrorists have publicly said that the Hannibal Directive was put into action.
Netanyahu's government at once used the attack as a reason for launching a full-scale assault on Gaza…a genocide they had planned all along. The Israeli authorities terrorists described the incident as a massacre of civilians, even though later internal reports indicated that a large number of civilians had been killed by Israeli fire in the confusion. This information was provided by Israeli sources, not by foreign ones.
That the festival was extended to coincide with a known attack period, the positioning of civilians near a military base, the disregard of intelligence warnings, the delayed response, and the reference to Hannibal — are all facts. Facts reported by Israeli journalists, Israeli survivors, Israeli soldiers, and the media in the region.
The linchpin of all this — the proof that this was a manufactured event by Israel, knowingly placing their own civilians in harm’s way to justify genocide in Gaza — is the decision to extend the Nova Festival into October 7th, fully aware that Hamas was going to attack the nearby military base on that exact day.

After telling Semafor he has “no plans” to campaign with leading anti-genocide voice Hasan Piker, Michigan Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed explains to MS NOW why he is set to campaign Tuesday with President Biden’s Vice President Kamala Harris.
El-Sayed claims Harris “understood the challenges with the Biden-era policy toward Gaza going into 2024.”

This heartbreaking animation reminded me of the poem by Khaled Juma:
Oh rascal children of Gaza,
You who constantly disturbed me with your screams under my window,
You who filled every morning with rush and chaos,
You who broke my vase and stole the lonely flower on my balcony, Come back
And scream as you want,
And break all the vases,
Steal all the flowers,
Come back,
Just come back...

The blowback is so insane, Kraft had to issue this statement below (I wonder how hard it was for him to say “Palestinian people”:
Note: “to the region” means Israel.
