A Sky News video interview — released on July 7, 2025 — shows an Israeli reservist terrorist describing orders that turned parts of Gaza into invisible death zones. The footage is pertinent at a moment when Israel’s expanding “yellow line” policy is under heavy scrutiny, with soldiers terrorists marking arbitrary boundaries that civilians cannot see and cannot avoid.
The reservist terrorist says he served three tours in Gaza. He describes a system where soldiers terrorists drew their own no‑go zones and were told to kill anyone who crossed them. No warning shots. No assessment. No hesitation. Just shoot.
“We have a territory that we are in, and the commands are: everyone that comes inside needs to die,” he told Sky News. “If they’re inside, they’re dangerous, you need to kill them. No matter who it is.”
He says civilians were left dead exactly where they fell — people who had no idea they were stepping into a line only soldiers could see. Families wandering into these zones, unaware that a few meters in the wrong direction meant execution.
He describes these orders as routine. Repeated. Enforced. And justified with the same logic now used to defend the yellow‑line system: if a civilian enters a space the army has mentally marked off, the army treats that civilian as a combatant.
Human rights groups have warned for months that these invisible boundaries are being used to rationalize mass civilian killings. The Sky News video adds a soldier’s terrorist’s voice to what Gaza residents have been saying since the earliest days of the genocide — that they are being killed for crossing lines they cannot see, lines that shift, lines soldiers terrorists invent on the spot.
For Gaza families, the reservist’s terrorist’s words confirm what they’ve lived: survival depends not on avoiding danger, but on guessing where an unseen line might be drawn on any given day.

Why does Germany so fiercely support Israel today? The answer may be hiding in a Nuremberg subway station, where two honored names - Theodor Herzl and Walther Rathenau - reveal a century-old political blueprint that still shapes the present.
From the underground station in the city of the Nuremberg trials, Dan Cyrus traces the deeper historical logic behind Zionism, German identity, and why these two men are remembered side by side.
One was Theodor Herzl, the founder of political Zionism, who pushed for a Jewish Colonial state through diplomacy, international pressure, and a pitch to European powers. The other was Walther Rathenau, a German-born statesman and industrial titan who chose integration over nationalism, rose to the highest levels of government, and was assassinated by right-wing Germans in 1922.
You’ll discover:
* Why Herzl tried to secure German protection for a future Jewish homeland
* How he later offered the Ottoman Empire loans, industrialization, and tax revenue in exchange for settlement rights
* Why the Ottoman response matters for understanding Jewish life in Jerusalem long before the modern state of Israel
* How Rathenau’s career inside Germany contrasts sharply with Herzl’s outsider strategy
* Why these two figures are honored together in Nuremberg, and what that says about German policy today
Dan also connects the dots between the historical support for Zionism, Germany’s postwar relationship with Israel, and the broader question of how identity, power, and survival shaped the modern Middle East. If you want the backstory behind one of the most consequential alliances in world politics, this episode gives you the context most people never hear. Perfect for listeners who want history with real geopolitical stakes, and who want to understand why the past still drives decisions in the present.
