We start in Paris, France on January 17th 1993 of my 30,000-mile road trip to Africa.
On this episode, I describe a 3-day itinerary for Paris- where to go in Paris, what to see in Paris, how to get around and what not to do in Paris!
Top things to do in Paris;
Versailles
Musee D'Orsay
The Louvre
Eiffel Tower
Arc De Triomphe
Champs Elysses
Notre Dame Cathedral
The Opera House
Victor Hugo's house
Pere Lachaise.
We then took the night train to Nice where we spent a couple of relaxing days as well as a quick stop in Monte Carlo-the playground of the rich!
At the end of this episode, we have covered just over 1000 miles!
Next Thursday we will be spending 2 days in Rome!

Welcome to episode 1 of my (solo female) travel podcast - Many Roads Travelled!
If you love to travel then this podcast is for you!
My first episode is a brief introduction explaining the 5 W's of my travel podcast...who it's for, what it's about, where can you listen, when new episodes are out and why I decided to do a solo female travel podcast in the first place.
Although this podcast is for anyone that loves travel adventures as that is what I want to do -take you with me on my epic overland trips so you get a real sense of what it's like to travel especially as a solo woman.
Also, I explain how I ended up going on this 30,000-mile road trip from Paris to Cape Town (then I hitched back up to Nairobi) in the first place! You will also find out who I left with (but didn't end my trip with).
So let's go back in time to 1993 and see how much travelling has changed since then!
Don't leave home without travel insurance!! This is the company I use and they are awesome! https://manyroadstravelled.com/insurance
Thanks for listening and feel free to leave a rating, comment or question about solo female travelling or travel in general.

Welcome to Many Roads Travelled! This is the trailer for series 1 of my (solo female) travel podcast!
I'm Tamara & think of me as your new virtual travel guide.
This is my brand new travel podcast which takes you along with me on my epic overland trips around the world!
So if you love to travel and adventures or are a fellow solo female traveller then welcome aboard!
Here is the link I mention about the 30 day trial for the all in one marketing platform that I use https://manyroadstravellled.com/travel
I have been traveling the world now for 30 years and I've been to 76 countries. I travel by public transport or hitching, as ironically I don't drive even though I do epic long road trips! I guess that's now called green or sustainable Travel which is what we all have to do from now on.
So I will be kicking off the podcast with my 1st series which is based on my 30,000-mile road trip from Paris to Cape Town & backup to Nairobi, then I moved to England.
So needless to say that trip changed my life!
I left Canada in January 1993 & I thought I'd be gone for 6 months, I ended up being gone for 22 years!
So I want to take you on my journeys with me so you can understand what it's really like travelling, especially as a solo woman and I'll be offering up to date tips and insights as well as my travel stories.
Each episode so will be about one place and then I will end each episode with (updated) Tam's Top Travel Tips for that destination.
For example:
What to do in Paris in 3 days
What to do in Rome for 2 days
What to do in Athens for 2 days
