  • First Friday: Sing a New Song (Isaiah 42)

Jesus' commitment to justice is what led Him to the cross. To restore all things, He must first redeem all things. The cross was the beginning of a work that will end in Jerusalem with all things made new. The response to the "new things" that God is releasing is new songs from His people in the nations. These prophetic songs will provoke Jesus to action. These songs are the sound of His inheritance and of His coronation when He comes to sit on David's throne.

  • What Is Spiritual Family?

God builds His house by raising up spiritual family. The house of the Lord is not a building, it is a people who are built together as a resting place for God. Spiritual families or "tribes" are within the global family, which is the church of Jesus. In this Sunday sermon, R.A. Martinez gives five defining characteristics for what it means to be and belong to a family.

  • First Friday: The Worth Of Jesus

Our essential WHY, the first and preeminent reason we (MAPS Global) exist is this: JESUS IS WORTHY. In fact, it is the fuel and the finish line of all of prayer and missions. We must diligently guard ourselves from religious rhetoric. The worth of Jesus is not a part of our branding. It's not a Christian cliche to us, but it can become that if we don't revisit it often and examine it. Listen as Chris Carter talks about the worth of Jesus as he walks through Revelation 4 and 5.

  • Navigating This Prophetic Moment for MAPS (Preparation For 21 Days of Extravagant Worship)

In the next few months, MAPS Global is going to go through the most significant transition in our history as we prepare to move the "ark of His presence" up to its permanent location. In addition, there are many in Richmond who are perceiving a prophetic moment that is upon us as a city. Because of the significance of this moment, we feel led to begin this process with a moment of fasting, prayer, and extravagant worship. We want to come before the Lord together and joyfully at the beginning of 2022 to confess that all that will take place is "not by might, nor by power, but by the Spirit of the Lord" (Zech 4:6). If His Presence does not go up with us, we will not go up from here.

  • First Friday: Incense In Every Place
At the center of Paul's missiology was this promise of incense in every place. Paul was burning with a vision for altars of worship and prayer in every place thus it fueled an ambition to preach the gospel wherever Christ had not yet been named. The goal of all preaching is worship, and worship and prayer is the fuel of all missions.

  • With Jesus At The Table: Another Helper (John 14:16-20)

Right now, we are standing on the shores of history watching the tidal waves of great glory, great harvest, and great trouble coming to the earth. Jesus' teaching in John 13-17, at the last supper, was to prepare His disciples to walk in mature joy, supernatural peace, and enduring love in their most troubling hour. Just as Jesus used this to prepare the disciples for the three days of darkness and trouble, so the last supper is meant to prepare the end-time church for the events leading up to the last three and a half years of great glory and trouble. When we sit with Jesus at the table and engage in this dialogue, the result will be joy, peace, and enduring love.
