The year is 1557 of the age when the earth starting to turn the opposite direction after a near pass with a black hole. Earth went through a long ice age and was uninhabitable until approximately the year 500 of the new age. The kin of those who escaped through the portals before the encounter with the gravitational pull of the black hole returned to reclaim their homelands. Everything is changed...and the world is still coming out of an ice age. The base in Rialta is charged with defending off from attacks to the current known world which is plagued with paranormal threats. The rest of the planet is still permafrost.
