Marc Lamont Hill sits down with conservative analysts Dr. Christopher Metzler on calls to defund the police after Sen. John Kennedy made some offensive comments on the topic.

Hill, a self-proclaimed abolitionist, says that police need to be defunded so that budgets are reallocated to social services.

"I don't agree and will never agree with the idea of defunding police," Metzler says, citing it as a public safety issue. "A blanket theme of defunding the police is more theater.
