Marginally | a podcast about writing, work, and friendship

Today, it turns out we have a lot to say about day jobs -- the second of our four themes, which we'll be covering this month. We talk about how our day jobs shape our days, how we fit our writing in, and whether or not we'd ever quit. We also cover the best red lipstick color and what to do when the internet sucks you in and won't let go. We ask for listener advice on dealing with unpredictability, and want to know what it would take for you to quit your day job. Plus, cats. Get in touch – we’d love to listen.

It's our first episode! Today, we introduce the concept of margins -- the first of our four themes, which we'll be covering this month. We talk a little about how we decided to start a podcast, even though it seems like one more thing to balance, and we talk about what we're working on, what margins mean to us, what it means to be a Genius and create Art (with capital letters). We share some ground rules, and Olivia raises an important question about motives and rationalization, while Meghan talks a lot about laundry.
