  • Buckaroo! - The Antidote Podcast
Have you ever been sucked into the consumeristic trap of trying to buy happiness? What is happiness anyway? We chase happiness all day long, yet often fail to admit that we don't really know what we are chasing. Many of the things we desire are ambitious goals passed on to us from family, friends, and the media. Many people chase their parents or friends dreams instead of their own. How can we as a society truly find our own happiness and how much of the stuff that we buy or consume actually fills the void?
Todd and Marie share their stories of when buying happiness has failed to satisfy, and how they continue to find a happy medium between internal and external happiness. Todd explains how a guitar purchase ended a relationship, and Marie tells the story of having one of her dreams come true as a child, only to have it fall apart once her dream was realized.

Most of the time, situations won’t be perfect for you to start your next big step, so you might as well start where you are.
When Todd first started Low Fidelity, he didn’t have all the equipment, nor his wonderful co-host Marie at the time. However, he had an iPad which was more than enough to start his dream of having his own talk show.
