First on the show this week is Crystal R. Icenhour, PhD, CEO and Co-Founder of Aperiomics. Crystal Icenhour is one of the rising stars of American biotechnology.  After more than 25 years in medical research and biotech, she was named founding CEO of Aperiomics, a company that harnesses the power of next-generation sequencing to identify any known pathogen (bacteria, virus, fungi or parasite) in a single test. Aperiomics is the only company of its kind and scope in the world! She talks with Marilyn about what led her to this career and the very unique and important work that she and her company are doing.

Then Marilyn talks to another remarkable woman that is doing great things for the world – Megan Shea, co-founder of The Soulfull Project. The Soulfull Project, a B Corp certified company whose mission is to make wholesome, nourishing food accessible to all and increase community engagement. For every serving of The Soulfull Project’s hot cereal purchased a serving is donated to a food bank in the same region.  The Soulfull Project launched as a small test in August 2016 in Philadelphia and New Jersey with 3 giving partners and has quickly expanded.  In its first 18 months, The Soulfull Project has expanded nationally to 200 food bank partners, over 2,000 retail locations, and over p00,000 servings going to food banks around the country. Prior to The Soulfull Project, Megan held a variety of marketing and sales roles at Nestle USA in Los Angeles with a focus on kids beverages and at The Campbell Soup Company in Camden, NJ in innovation.  In 2018, Megan was named a Top 50 women in business in New Jersey by NJBiz Magazine.

Kicking off the show this week is the remarkable Maria Pacifico, President of Pacifico Ford, Mazda, and Hyundai. She is the Vice Chair of the Ford Dealers Advertising Association, and has served on the Advertising Board since 2015. Maria has been a member of the Auto Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia since 2010, and is currently on the Executive Committee. She is set to be the first female Auto Show Chair in 2020 and the President of the Association in 2022.

Next up is the power duo of Natanya DiBona and Kayli Moran, the original co-hosts and founders of Le Dîner en Blanc – Philadelphia. Started in Philadelphia  in 2012, Le Diner en Blanc brings together thousands of guests to a surprise location every year! Le Dîner en Blanc Philadelphia has been the recipient of “best foodie event” and “best pop-up” awards from publications such as Philadelphia Magazine and Main Line Today. Natanya and Kayli talk to Marilyn about their success in planning one of the biggest events of the year and share some secret details about the event.

This week’s show is all about the Autism Cares Foundation, a non-profit serving children, teens, and adults with autism, and other special needs, and their families. It was founded by Linda Kuepper and her husband Frank. Linda is the mother of two sons, Frankie, 22, a recent graduate of Penn State who is pursuing a career in pharmacology research, and Michael, 20, who attends Council Rock High School North, and was diagnosed with autism before his third birthday. As a result of Linda’s fierce love for her sons, she and her husband started the non-profit Autism Cares Foundation that is now celebrating its 10thAnniversary. For Linda, nurturing the Autism Cares Foundation has required hard work, positivity, and intense dedication. To date, the Autism Cares Foundation has held more than 1,250 free social programs and life enrichment opportunities and built a unique community of families bound by their love for their children, teens, and adults with autism, and other special needs.

Linda has teamed up with Margie Ford, Director of Marketing & Sales for Clementon Park and Splash World for the 3rdAnnual Special Needs Family Fun Night at Clementon Park and Splash World on Tuesday, August 7, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The park will be closed to the public and open only to families caring for a loved one with special needs, and parking is free. The reduced price admission is $15 per person, and $5 from each ticket is being donated to Autism Cares Foundation.

First on the show this week is a WOGL favorite, Cyndi Lauper! Cyndi Lauper talks to Marilyn about her upcoming concert with Rod Stewart on August 4th at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. She also discusses 80s fashion and iconic songs.

Next we have Maureen Coyle, Membership Director of the Pyramid Club in Philadelphia. Since its rise in 1993, the Club has served as the center point of Philadelphia’s business, social, cultural, academic and political sectors. Maureen talks about the Women Who Wine event this Tuesday, July 24th  from 6:00-8:00PM.

They begin their season this Thursday, July 19 at Hagan Arena at St. Joe’s University. Billie Jean King is known for breaking barriers by pushing for equal prize money for women and becoming one of the first well-known openly gay athletes. There is a WOGL night on Wednesday, July 25 with lots of fun in store, prizes and special appearances!

Marilyn then talks to another superstar, actress Patricia Clarkson.  Patricia Clarkson stars alongside Amy Adams in the new HBO series, Sharp Objects.Sharp Objects is based on the book of the same name by The New York Times bestselling author Gillian Flynn (Gone Girl, Dark Places), this eight-episode series tells the story of reporter Camille Preaker (Adams) who returns to her small hometown to cover the murders of two preteen girls. Trying to put together a psychological puzzle from her past, she finds herself identifying with the young victims a bit too closely. Patricia Clarkson portrays Amy Adams’ mother on the series. The show airs Sundays at 9pm on HBO.

Rounding out the show we have Real Housewife of Beverly Hills, Kyle Richards. Kyle Richards talks to Marilyn about her new scripted TV series, American Woman, which airs on Paramount Network. Kyle is the co-executive producer and the series is loosely based around her childhood, growing up in Beverly Hills in the '70s.

First on the show this week is Nina Covalesky, Executive Director of Theater with a View. Theater with a View is a professional outdoor theatre company located in Pottstown, PA. The next remarkable woman on the show is Erin O’Malley Tysko, MD. Dr. O’Malley Tysko is board certified in cardiovascular disease with specialty certifications in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and advanced studies in vascular medicine. She serves as a member of the Main Line Health Women’s Heart Initiative, supporting awareness, education and prevention of heart disease for women in the community.  Dr. O’Malley Tysko has practices at Lankenau Medical Center and in Roxborough.  She practices consultative cardiology, allowing her to care for a broad range of cardiovascular issues including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, lipid management and hypertension.

The next Remarkable Woman is Julie Coker Graham. Julie Coker Graham is the President and CEO of the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB) where she oversees all of the organization’s departments and operational duties. Prior to being named to this position she served as the Senior Vice President of Convention Sales and managed a staff of 25 sales and services professionals at the PHLCVB responsible for selling the expanded Pennsylvania Convention Center and Philadelphia’s hotel package to customers across the country.

Marilyn’s first guest this week is Nancy Martin, Abuse Prevention Specialist atNancy Martin Coaching in Media, PA. Nancy specializes in teaching others how to embody confidence and repel potential abusers.  The goal is to enjoy a happy, fulfilling life, free from the negative effects of abuse in its many forms.  Nancy talks to Marilyn about how to succeed utilizing techniques of lightness and joy, rather than falling back on resentment and living with regret. 

Marilyn then interviews two remarkable women from Borgata -- Jennifer Aarons, Director of Spa Operations and Becky Schultz, Vice President of Food & Beverage, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.  It is the Borgata's 15th anniversary, and Jennifer and Becky have the Herculean task of managing the celebration!

Jennifer oversees management of the award-winning 36,000-square-foot Spa Toccare at Borgata and the two-story Immersion Spa at the Water Club.
