Craig Pheiffer from Absa Stockbrokers & Portfolio Management chose IHAK Cybersecurity ETF as his stock pick of the day.

"My pick is an exchange traded fund called IHAK and it's one of the i-shares etfs. It's an etf that tracks the cybersecurity and technology index I think still has a lot of potential growth over time."​

Steven Schultz from Momentum chose Goldfields as his stock pick of the day.

"My stock pick this evening is Goldfields, at the moment it trades at about a 50% discount when compared to international peers, which is the cheapest it's been in around two decades. It's has a strong balance sheet and high quality operations. Quite frankly I think it's cheap insurance at the current price."

Caroline Cremen from Adviceworx chose Naspers as her stock pick of the day.

"Well, keep calm and carry on, and be brave when other people are fearful, use the opportunity and pick up a little bit of Naspers."

Nick Kunze from Sanlam Private Wealth chose Anglo gold Ashanti as his stock pick of the day.

"I've done it a few times, it's a bit boring but I'm going with Anglo Gold Ashanti for a number of reasons. I'm a bit concerned about inflation, also a bit worried about a little bit of risk coming on the markets and gold is tended to be that ultimate hedge against inflation."

Viv Govender from Rand Swiss Offshore chose Gold as his stock pick of the day.

"My stock pick is actually gold, I do think that even if it goes right now for about eighteen hundred dollars an ounce it seems to have some support here historically. And I do think that we are going to be seeing some kind of over extension of the low interest rate environment."

Graeme Franck from PSG Wealth Sandton Grayston chose AECI as his stock pick of the day.

"I'm going for something different today and obviously you would have to believe in the longer term trajectory in South Africa which we do and we would go for AECI, it's an industrial company which has fairly large exposure to mining, healthcare and chemicals. The share price has come down from around R120 over the last two years to R95 and in the covid nightmare that we have seen they even managed to pay a dividend of R5,70."

Steven Schultz from Momentum chose Grindrod Shipping as his stock pick of the day.

My stock pick this evening is Grindrod Shipping, it's not necessarily the most topical and certainly the does trade rather thinly and it had an absolute alignment of stars in terms of performance and their dry bulk shipping where prices have skyrocketed and partly a result of economy switching back online globally but also a surge in commodity demand from China. So, we're expecting some decent numbers out of them in the coming weeks.

"I'm going with the US dollar, I think the rand is set to weaken even further it starting to test the R15 levels as this violence continues and with authorities not having an adequate response you'd want to make sure that you are firmly rand hedged at this stage"
