The Doris Bither case, also known as the Entity haunting, was a 1974 investigation into alleged paranormal phenomena in Culver City, California, experienced by a woman named Doris Bither.

The case inspired Frank De Felitta's 1978 book The Entity, which was made into a 1982 film of the same name starring Barbara Hershey.

Doris Bither alleged that she was being attacked and assaulted by one or several invisible entities.

What Happened to Barry Sherman? | Marks Unexplained World Podcast (Ep. 190)

Barry Sherman, a prominent Canadian businessman and philanthropist, was found dead in his home on December 15, 2017.

The couple, Barry and Honey Sherman, were discovered hanging by belts from a railing surrounding their indoor pool.

The cause of death was determined to be ligature neck compression or strangulation, and there were no signs of forced entry into their home.

The case has remained unsolved, with no suspects or persons of interest named since the murder occurred.

On February 9, 2004, Maura Murray a 21-year-old nursing student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, disappeared after a car crash on Route 112 near Woodsville, a village in the town of Haverhill, New Hampshire.

The Aurora Texas UFO Incident | Marks Unexplained World Podcast (Ep. 188)

The Aurora, Texas, UFO incident reportedly occurred on April 17, 1897, when, according to locals, a UFO crashed on a farm near Aurora, Texas.

The incident (similar to the more famous Roswell UFO incident 50 years later) is claimed to have resulted in a fatality of the pilot. The pilot was "not of this world" and was said to be an alien.

The pilot was buried at the Aurora cemetery, and a stone was placed as a marker for the grave.

Who Was Peter Bergmann? | Marks Unexplained World Podcast (Ep. 186)

The Peter Bergmann case pertains to the mysterious death of an unidentified man in County Sligo, Ireland, in the early hours of 16 June 2009.

The man, using the alias "Peter Bergmann," had checked into the Sligo City Hotel on 12 June, where he stayed during the majority of his visit to Sligo.

The man's movements were captured on CCTV throughout the town; however, the details of his actions and intentions remain unknown.

His interactions with other people were limited, and little is known of his origins or the reason for his visit.

The mystery is often compared to the Somerton Man case in Australia, in which an unidentified man was found dead on a beach shortly after the Second World War.

The Disappearance of Lars Mittank | Marks Unexplained World Podcast (Ep. 185)

Lars Joachim Mittank (born 9 February 1986) is a German man who disappeared on 8 July 2014, near Varna Airport in Varna, Bulgaria.

Mittank was on holiday at the Golden Sands resort, where he was supposedly involved in a fight and was unable to fly home with his friends for health reasons.

Mittank was documented acting strangely while alone in Bulgaria. He called home to his mother, claiming that people were trying to kill him. On the day when he was supposed to fly home, Mittank went to the Varna Airport to consult with a doctor.

He was later seen on airport security footage running out of the airport and towards an adjacent forest. He has never been seen since.

Aimee Jean Betro (born 27 August 1979) is a former American disc golfer, and criminal, convicted in the United Kingdom of attempting to carry out the contract killing of a shopkeeper in Birmingham in September 2019.

After striking up an online relationship with one of her co-conspirators, Betro travelled from the US to the UK in August 2019, and disguised herself in a niqab in order to carry out the assassination.

She attempted to shoot Sikander Ali at point-blank range, but her gun jammed, thus allowing him to escape.

The Monster Study was a non-consensual experiment performed on 22 orphan children in Davenport, Iowa in 1939 about stuttering.

The study was never published, and as a result was relatively unknown until a 2001 San Jose Mercury News article conducted by an investigative reporter, Jim Dyer.

He revealed the details and followed up with the former test subjects who were still living – none of whom were told it was an experiment.

A lawsuit took place and the seven test subjects from the "negative-reinforcement" group were awarded $925,000 by the State of Iowa for lifelong psychological and emotional scars.

Joseph Augustus Zarelli , previously known as the "Boy in the Box", "Boy in a Box" or "America's Unknown Child", was an American 4-year-old male whose nude, malnourished, and beaten body was found on the side of Susquehanna Road, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on February 25, 1957.

Zarelli appeared to have been cleaned and freshly groomed, with a recent haircut and trimmed fingernails, although he had suffered extensive physical attacks prior to his death, with multiple bruises on his body.
