In the opening chapters of the Bible, God reveals Himself as the first host of others. In fact, He created the whole universe He can host His human image bearers. The first 25 verses of Genesis 1 are a poetic description of the lengths that God would go to reveal Himself to mankind. Once the world was ready to receive guests, God created man (Gen 1:26-31). Hospitality is one of the foundational disciplines of a godly home because it is a godly strategy to show people the love of God. In this episode, pastor Philip Jackson continues his series on family disciplines with a Biblical look at what our lives should look like as we intentionally open up for others to see the gospel.
