Co-Written with Kenny Davis, a Texas Swing tune with a twist. Being two New York jewish boys, we were sick of hearing Texans boast (and this was before Bush) so we got the idea for the title. The rest came pretty easily except for the bridge which Kenny came up with and it knocked me out. It's pretty funny. This is a real Nashville demo with John Wesely Riles singing. I hope I spelled your name right John.

Have you ever heard Lorne Greene doing "Ringo"? This was my homage to that genre. It paints a pretty good picture and it's just fun. Yee Ha! This was written during my Marshall Dillon phase.

I am a big believer in an economy of words. To me the quieter you say something, the more powerful it is. Try looking into a beautiful womans eyes if you don't believe me. This song was built around that second chord in the verse progression. Other than that it's a standard country song.

This one was just true. The image struck me as so true and the rest of the song wrote itself around that idea. This one features my Chet Atkins autographed Gibson that I hocked in a moment of despair and stupidity. Sorry Chet. I am very proud of the lyric on this one.

Co-write with Donna Beck Michael, this pretty little ditty is a sweet tale about love that grows up unexpectedly and suddenly. Really love that has had a chance to mature in the soil of friendship is at once the scariest and the best.

Some things are bad for you but you want them anyway. Some things you want so bad you can't say no when you should. Long story short, I should've resisted but I didn't. I got cavities.

Written with my friend J.T. Bear and recorded at his home studio in Nashville. I played bass and programmed the drums. The Guitarist is Dean Hall (son of Tom T.) who is a killer guitarist with tremendous feet. (His sneakers are my regular clown shoes which I wear on gigs) This song is a bit of fun and could only be done as a country song. (It should'a been sung by a woman but I was the closest we had.)
