#92 - The pre-teen ages for girls is a critical time. Many feel left out and don't have many friends. Girls On the Run helps these girls find a place of their own through running. Girls on the Run of the Bay Area Program Director Natalie Langsdorf explains the important role the organization can play in a girl's life, not only opening her to the wonderful world of running, but providing other skills they may miss in their every day lives.

#91 - We find inspiration in many places. I love watching the top runners battle the elements and their own wills to finish strong. But I also love hearing stories of every day runners who battled through intense and life-changing illnesses or injuries and kept going. Todd Glieden is one of those runners. He loves tough, long ultra-races, especially with lots of elevation. It hasn't been an easy road for him to get there, but his story of never giving up his positivity and determination is one you will want to hear.

#88 - 2020 is the food of your nightmares. For me, it would be beets ANYTHING! If you hate pineapple on pizza, then that's yours! This year certainly isn't what we ever thought it would be. Even back in March, I had NO IDEA it would be this messed up. But we can get through it. You and me can make it to 2021! I talk about alternatives to regular races if we can't race and how to plan for the new year.

#86 - In 1938, the Downtown Association in San Francisco created an ad campaign to attract tourists that has become a fascinating feature in the city. The San Francisco 49-Mile Scenic Drive is a cruise around some of the most picturesque and fascinating spots there. I talk about my adventures covering the whole loop, the history and what surprised me. We all need to create challenges for ourselves and I'm excited about sharing this one with you! 

I also talk about my recent trip to the Sierra Nevada Mountains and send out at alert for an ultrarunner who needs our help.
