During the first hour of the show Marty talked about Dallas Police Officer, Amber Guyger who was sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting her unarmed neighbor in his home last year.  Marty talked with defense attorney Phil DiLucente and attorney Bill Diffenderfer who have represented police officers on trial to get their take.  Marty also talked to a couple retired police officers and  listeners.

During the first hour of the show Marty talked about a friend of his who just lost their child.  Throughout the hour, Marty took calls from listeners who have lost children, who gave some advice on how to cope with the loss.

During the final hour of the show Marty talked with Taji Walsh the grandmother of Nalani Johnson who was kidnapped and murder, and he also talked with State Rep. Tony DeLuca about Nalani and Amber alerts.  Marty also talked him travel and hotel issues while in LA over the weekend.
