Has God revealed Himself to humanity? If so, how can we know Him?

Everybody wants to be great but not everyone wants to do what it takes to be truly great. Listen in and see what Jesus says about true greatness.

If there was ever a person that should have never been born, it was Judas Iscariot. In Mark 14:21, Jesus said, "The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had never been born." If Judas was such a bad guy then we can learn a lot about what not to do. For instance, Judas was a thief and a self absorbed opportunist. His opportunistic propensity made him an ideal candidate for the Devil to manipulate. And when Judas realized the severity of his actions, he chose remorse over true repentance. Judas did not end well. We can learn a lot!

Whether we realize it or not, most people are on some kind of mission. Goals are set and actions are taken, but does the mission really matter? It does if it is the right one.

As humans, we have a tendency to create God in our own image. This God we create acts according to the system of morality that is in agreement with our lifestyle. Also, this deity can be coaxed into granting our desires if we perform certain rituals. In the Bible, Isaiah the prophet addressed a nation that had fallen for this same fallacy. Let's just say, it did not end well.

Have you ever felt that you have been forgotten by God? it seems like God has discarded you and He has moved on to someone else. Well, nothing could be further from the truth. You have not been forgotten. God has a plan and you can trust Him.

There is a negative bias against Christianity in our culture today. However, this development is not really new. In Acts 28, the Apostle Paul had to communicate the Gospel message to an audience that let him know up front that their opinion of the Gospel was negative. His passion and methods are worthy of our consideration.

When you combine loving obedience to the commands of God with overcoming faith then you have the makings of a great life.

God has gifted every believer to function within the the body of Christ (the church). If one part of the body ceases to function then the whole body suffers. Some Christians selfishly refuse to employ their spiritual giftedness in the church while others think their giftedness is not important. Both are wrong. The church needs every believer and every believer is important. How are you using your spiritual giftedness to build the church?

There are times in life when we must admit that something in our lives is broken and we can not fix it. We have been our own worst enemy. Our sinful actions and attitudes have led us to a place of brokenness, and we need God to intervene. At such time, we must come to God on His terms and not ours. There is healing. There is restoration, but it must be done God's way. At Mount Sinai, the children of Israel were in such a predicament. Their sinful actions had brought devastating consequences, and now they wanted to be restored. Fortunately, they had Moses to intercede on their behalf.
