  • Abomination Nation

(She-Hulk Ep. 102) Mike’s away, and the cats will play! And by play, we mean “have a rigid show structure, stick to it, and be done on time.” But it’s not all business, as Kirstie talks to Marvel and DC writer Alex Paknadel about his upcoming projects, and the gang discuss She-Hulk episode 2 and Daredevil: Born Again. Will the show change its title before release? What can we even expect a Daredevil series on Disney+ to look like? And were Mike, Alec, and Joe wrong about the public’s post-Endgame fan favorite character? Poll results reveal the truth!

  • Kamala X

The Ms. Marvel finale did what it promised to do and changed the MCU forever, but the Marvel Standom team questions whether that was always the plan for Kamala Khan, or whether Marvel Studios decided to change course at the last minute to set up other projects. Episode 6 was full of action and wonderful moments for the characters on this show, but pacing issues and the MCU Disney+ formula made it a rocky road for some of the gang. Nevertheless, they shall continue to protect Kamala with their lives!Special guest: Rosie Knight [X-Ray Vision/Nerdist]

  • Screw the Rules

Ms. Marvel episode 5 is a divisive one for Marvel Standom! The show finally reveals Aisha’s backstory in some wonderful flashbacks, and we get to see the delightful Fawad Khan onscreen, but the back half of the episode doesn’t work for Mike and Kirstie, especially its sudden ending and the underdeveloped villains of the series overall. Meanwhile, Maznah Shehzad returns to dish up some interesting time travel theories for anyone who might be confused about how Ms. Marvel’s time-bending rules could work! As for special guest Joe George, he’s here to tell us “screw the rules!”

The gang also try to get to grips with those headache-inducing MCU time travel rules, as they chat about why Kamala Khan’s transportation to Partition at the end of the episode may not make a difference to the outcome of Aisha’s mysterious disappearance all those years ago.

  • Djinn and Toxic

Ms. Marvel episode 3 is another delightful installment of the latest MCU show, and it’s also the midway point. That means we’re starting to see how Kamala Khan fits into the endgame of Phase 4 with both a Shang-Chi and a Captain Marvel connection set deep in her family history! But in the world of Marvel Standom, Alec is sick of old people, Mike is obsessed with the Nega Bands, Maznah isn’t happy about the djinn direction the show seems to be taking, and Kirsten is ready to explain why Ms. Marvel’s viewing figures are so low compared to other MCU shows.
