Marvelous Marathon

Wil and Katelyn go on their own personal Odyssey: trying to see The Odyssey in every film format. As resident Chris Nolan fanboy, Wil breaks down why this movie is so iconic and every award it should probably win. And Katelyn’s along for the ride. Zeus’ Law says you have to tune in.

The greatest hits and dumbest bits: All hail Leguizamo, Sad Dog Stuff Award, King Greg Marcus, Bill Irwin outsold, Gaga outsold, Dhar Mann outsold, Chris Nolan Venmo’d Wil, and a very definitely real Food Tie-In Corner

Coming Soon: the first batch of X-Men ‘97 S2 Side Quests (Jul 27), Spider-Man: Brand New Day (Aug 3), a new Post Credits Club (Aug 10)

Thanks to special guest JOHN FASSOLD for joining us today. You can find his music on YouTube, and his hot takes on Letterboxd.

Ooh boy. Let’s talk about Supergirl (2026). Listen in as Wil, Katelyn, and special guest John dissect the emerging DCU writ large, and wade through the dirt-colored terrain of internet discourse surrounding this film, and try to separate their own genuine critiques from the evil corners of the internet who were never going to give the movie a fair shake in the first place. Even if we didn’t love the movie, we still sure loved talking about it … I think.

The greatest hits and dumbest bits: More or less James Gunn Stank, Sorry women, Three Lobos And A Dead Dog, the KFC Supergirl sauce psychotic break, The capable hands of Gillespie

Coming Soon: A new Post Credits Club (Jul 13), The Odyssey (Jul 20), the first batch of X-Men ‘97 S2 Side Quests (Jul 27), Spider-Man: Brand New Day (Aug 3)

Wil shows Katelyn a movie that he describes as “the most fan-fiction movie to ever exist”, and then is, for some reason, completely flabbergasted as to why she had fun with it. Is this movie a complete nothingburger? Or is it actually filled with twelfth-wave feminism and meta gender commentary? Did Wil genuinely get a concussion seconds before pressing play on this movie? Only one way to find out.

The greatest hits and dumbest bits: Fushigi, Exclusive Patreon Content, A&W:Supergirl::Pepsi:Madame Web, A Disappointing Lack of Yuri, Sandra Lee Semi-homemade

Coming Soon: 2026’s Supergirl (Jul 6), a new Post Credits Club (Jul 13), The Odyssey (Jul 20)
