Marvin Sordell was one of England’s brightest young stars: a first-teamer at Watford, he was selected for England Under 21’s and Team GB at the 2012 Olympics. Then came a big money move to Premier League Bolton. But behind all the success, Marvin was buckling under the pressure. He was drinking every day and, eventually, tried to take his own life. In a candid interview, he spoke to me about how he came back from rock bottom and why he eventually decided to quit the game at just 28 years old.
