As this year comes to a close, keep in mind 2 Corinthians chapter 1 verse 20 King James Version(KJV).
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. The promises of God are guaranteed, and the scriptures have been confirmed through different situations. Believe whatever you have asked God to do, and ye shall receive. Just give thanks to Him and bless His name. This is Mary Whitby with a MARY L WHITBY TEACHING MOMENT. “IT WILL ONLY TAKE A MOMENT!”

This podcast is a reminder to you to focus on God’s Word. This is Mary Whitby with a MARY L WHITBY MOMENT. “IT WILL ONLY TAKE A MOMENT!”
I want to remind you to give thanks as I share scripture. The scriptures encourage you to praise the Lord, giving us a chance to tell how great He is and reminding us of His mercy. We will begin with Psalms 106:1:Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: For his mercy endureth forever. The mercy of God was upon His people despite their sins and disobedience. The plagues of Egypt revealed the miraculous power of the true and living God. Giving thanks today brings to my remembrance of the children of Israel leaving Egypt facing the Red Sea and with their enemy following after them. The children of Israel were praising God. This experience assured them that God was with them. Can you believe they went over onto dry ground? He delivered them and destroyed their chasers. This was a time of thanksgiving. How many times has God delivered you? Are you still giving Him thanks?
Verse 48 of this same Psalms: Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: And let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD. This verse encourages you and me today to Bless the Lord. These scriptures were written for our learning. We will encounter times of trouble and tribulation in this world today. Temptation will show up as your faith grows stronger. The scripture says to rejoice when you face diverse temptations. David was a great example.
In Psalms 51, David asked God to renew the right spirit in him. Giving thanks will cause us to be humble. Confidence and agreement are both expressed with the word “AMEN.” It is so!
Our next verse is Psalm 136:1-9 KJV O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: For his mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks unto the God of gods: For his mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks to the Lord of lords: For his mercy endureth for ever. To him who alone doeth great wonders: For his mercy endureth for ever. The Lord is ready to show us mercy. His mercy is new every morning, full of hope and comfort. The Lord is faithful to His people. These verses encourage a sense of thankfulness in our daily life.
I will conclude with Psalms 107:21, joining with the Psalmist, “Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! God has done great things for us and our families. The writer desires that individuals would praise the Lord. Let us rejoice with a heart of thanksgiving!
