But that doesn’t mean God’s not working on you! Here at MCC, we’re just everyday people, trying to learn how to live God's new life everyday, 24-7-365.

Life can be overwhelming. Whether it’s because of the expectations & demands of people or circumstances. When that happens, it’s easy to look for someone to blame. Right on cue, Satan starts his whisper campaign to convince us that all of it is God’s fault. This is why it's important that we truly know God. The better that we know Him the more we trust him every day.

We don’t always live every day like good Christians. You can understand why Adam & Eve tried to hide from God after the choice they made. That’s why Romans 5:8 NLT may be challenging… “God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” God’s love FOR US and His mercy shown TO US in Christ is NOT ABOUT US… It’s about HIM! It’s not because of WHO we are, WHAT we know, what we’ve ALWAYS DONE, or what we’ve NEVER DONE.

There's a battle going on and as C.S. Lewis put it, "The world for the Christian is ‘Enemy-occupied territory’". Are we truly chasing after God or are we getting caught in the ways of this world?Show less

God Expects Us to Live Our Faith Everyday. If our Christianity is just what we do & where we go on Sundays, it has no enduring value. For example, Ohio Memorial Chapel in Tiffin, Ohio. A former church that's now out of business because it forgot to take care of business. We must not only do Christianity on Sunday morning but we need to take it to our communities and live it EVERY DAY!

Many of our parents tried to impress the importance of ‘finishing' on us when we were growing up. We still hear that inner voice: ‘Clean your plate’ - ‘Finish your chores’ - ‘Do your homework 1st’. While that’s going on, Peter has his convictions challenged. As predicted he denies his relationship with Jesus.

There’s a fine line between ‘fun’ and ‘frustration’. Even watching the kids opening their presents at Christmas can get tedious as it drags out. The longer something takes, the less patience we have. Follow the Steps of Jesus as He interacts with people throughout the night of His trial, and you will be amazed at what it cost Him [and us] to pick up the cross and follow Him.
