Mash Those Buttons

Crashtag and StaticGorilla are back for another episode of Doube Tap! This week we are back to a regular show, but first in the Fighter's Corner, Multiversus has new patch notes, but we noticed that if mods are in the game, it won't load. We also get DNF Duel patch notes, Street Fighter 6 has made a collaboration and Yipes with friends shared footage from their exlusive content with the game, and we caught some of the Tekken Bloodlines show. Next in the Randoms of the FGC, DNF Duel had a Twitch Rivals event and TMNT Cowabunga Collection was released. Finally in the Focus Attack, we touch on the latest drama about Hitbox Controllers and our take on the use of the controllers.

We start off the episode hearing from the community through reviews and voicemails! We get off to some good discussion about what we are hoping for in Wrath classic. We then discuss how our week has been going between leveling characters, battling the que on larger servers, and getting ready for Wrath. We also touch on some raiding in pre-patch and what that has been like with the new talent changes and addition of Death Knights.

In the news we cover the pre-patch notes blizzard posted, the fresh realms, PVP news, and the deluxe rewards including the fun mount, pet, companion, and character boost. We then give our thoughts on the free character transfers name changes.

We close out the episode with a debate between Bob, Classicgho, Scottejaye, and Rugs on the ilvl squish. The four discuss the pros and cons of the level squish, some against, some for, and some neutral. Listen in as they try to debate their side of the debate!

On today's episode of Double Tap, we take a deep dive into the topic of Tekken 7 with none other than our returning guest XiT's own, Komanda! Komanda is a well known Tekken player and our local Tekken enthusiast. We first start out with a discussion on his background in case you haven't heard of him yet. Next we go into full detail on the latest patch notes, specifically the losers and especially the winners. Then we ask what the current state of the game looks like and what he would like to see in the next Tekken title. Finally, we get a glimpse of what events he will be attending, and his outlook on the latest information for the Tekken World Tour leading up to the finals.

We start by covering overall tanking changes in Wrath. There is discussion around threat, uncrushable, spell power and more!

We review each class individually starting with Death Knight, moving on the Warrior, then covering the Paladin, and finally wrapping up with the Druid. For each class we discuss an overview and what has changed from TBC. We move on to reviewing viable specs for raids/dungeons and what the class is best suited for (e.g., main tank, off tank). Next we touch on gearing a glyphs for each individual class and wrap up with preferred professions and final thoughts.

We close out the episode discussing meta differences from original Wrath to now, speculation on who wins the best tank competition, and final thoughts around tanking in general.

We finally enter Tenakth territory by heading through a rebel base north of Plainsong and crossing over into The Greenswell; a territory of the Desert clan. Not much desert to see around here, though. We also run into our first Tenakth village that has recently been flooding. You know, for a clan that doesn't like outlanders, they sure don't mind asking for help.

In this episode:

- The Deluge

- The Greenswell

- Greenswell Salvage Camp

Matt takes the night off, and Kurabara picks up the slack while the bois discuss the latest changes to Apex, including a surprising and seemingly unexplainable shift in the legend meta! Has Gibby really fallen so far? Other topics include further discussion about the relatively unpopular ring changes and some things the pros have had to say about them, some minor (and not so minor) patches, and a healthy serving of gushing about our favorite game!

It's our fourth anniversary and that means we get linens, or appliances, or both. Thanks internet. We recorded the night of patch 6.2 maintenance so we mostly speculated on, you know, the patch we're all doing. But we've got some reflections on our road to 6.2 too. Also moonfire faire chat. And so many moogle tomestones. Too many, probably.

Pull up a stool, charge your glasses and get comfortable as Happy Hour Episode 53 is here for your listening pleasure. That's right - Mike, Luke and Rob are back for more podcast-based shenanigans, with alcohol and banter aplenty. For this episode the lads talk about a lot of the trailers and news dumps from Comic-Con. There's chat around The Marvel franchises (Avengers, She Hulk and Ant-Man) that featured heavily during the weekend's events. Away from Comic-Con the guys also talk about the trailers for the House of the Dragon and Rings of Power TV series that are due for release really soon. There's also chat regarding the Apple TV show 5 Days at Memorial starring Vera Farmiga which has really gotten the attention of Luke and Mike. Like what you hear? On this special episode of Double Tap, Crashtag and StaticGorilla interview and have a conversation with ShinKensou. ShinKensou is a well versed competitive fighting game player, lab monster, and content creator who has been in the scene for a long time. We first start with a short biography , touch base on the EVO 2022 experience, questions about labbing, and content creation. Then, we asked many questions about Guilty Gear Strive with what is liked, what is disliked, and what he is looking forward to in Strive for season 2. Finally, we get into a lengthy conversation about eSports and what the future will hold with the upcoming Project L.
