  • Ep.32- Claim Your Worth

The fear of seeming to be self-promotional is a strong one, especially when it comes to the business world. You don’t want to seem too much: too self-promotional, too out there, too much of anything. This is true for both men and women. But you do have to show up and demand your worth. You have to have the confidence and the courage to say, “Hey, I deserve this opportunity. I truly believe that I am the best for this.” You have to pitch yourself. Reviews and compliments from people can only get you so far. You have to put in that work to get more attention, get yourself out there, and get yourself noticed. You can’t just wait for someone to pay attention to you.

When we’re mastering our bliss life, we have to master the ability to know our strengths and show up and not be afraid to speak to them. To be able to show up and demand what you’re worth, you have to be confident in what you’re bringing, you have to know and articulate those things, and you have to practice identifying them regularly. Every single day, choose growth. Choose change and choose to see your success. Then know it, own it, feel confident in it, and don’t be afraid to show up and demand to be valued for the value you see in yourself.

  • Ep.31- Style Your Life Intentionally

It's the end of the year. You know the whole New Year New Me thing? Kiera and Lia canceled it. New Year New Me is officially canceled. It’s not a thing because it’s the same you – it’s just a new year. There are better ways to say it’s a brand new year than New Year New Me. New Year Better Me. New Year New Opportunities. New chances, new habits, new goals, new energy, showing up differently, new growth opportunities. There is something to be said about starting fresh and starting new, and a New Year is a good marker. You can stake a flag in the ground and say, from this moment forward, I'm making things different. Kiera and Lia share their best self-motivating tips to keep you moving in the right direction. To really elevate where you’re at.  And so, as you start to plan to be the next version of yourself, to uplevel, and grow into the woman you will be in 2023, here’s the plan for how you show up in an elevated way.

  • Ep.30- Show Up as Next-Level You

Do you know what the next-level version of you dresses like, acts like, and does? Go on a date with future you. Lia and Kiera explain how to take yourself on a Quantum Leap Date. Remember, everything that happens to you is in perfect alignment for your highest good. Sometimes the universe puts things in your life that might be a really great opportunity, but it’s not going to take you in the direction of your goals. Are you going to let this shiny distraction derail you? Or are you going to stay on the path that you’ve determined?  It is your choice, but if you let yourself get derailed, it will take time to return to your original self – your authentic self. The universe gives you a test. If you pass that universal test, then good things start happening. The moral of this episode is to stay true to yourself and your feelings. And a bonus in today’s episode, learn an unexpected, instant trick to cure hiccups.

  • Ep.29- Stay Relevant by Being YOU

If you want to make an impact, have a lasting change, and be legitimate, you’ve just got to keep being you. You’re special. No one has the specific energetic makeup that you do. No one can say things the way you say them. No one can do things the way you do them. Nobody’s been through the exact same things that you’ve been through. So, through your experiences, you have this knowledge to give to other people.  And that’s valuable.

  • Ep.28- Pay Attention to Equality in the Workplace with Gabriella Parente

Kiera and Lia have a special guest on this episode. Gabriella Parente is a speaker, an author, a Human Resources and Leadership LinkedIn instructor, and a voice for equality in the workplace. Join the conversation as they discuss topics like single parents juggling work and raising kids, policies that need changing in the corporate world, and doing marriage proposals the right way. Things get a little heated, and things get a little emotional, as all three of these working mothers share personal stories of their struggles in jobs where they are overworked and under-represented while trying to balance raising children being the sole breadwinner. Today’s corporations, both large and small, need to become more compassionate and tolerant of the constant battle single parents are faced with.

  • Ep.27- Give Yourself the Love You Reserve for Others

It is time to remember that YOU deserve the love for yourself that you give to others. There is a balance, of course. Do not be massively selfish to the detriment of your children. But also, do not be so selfless to the detriment of yourself. Do not be the martyr. Do not fall on a sword that is not your own. Kiera and Lia have talked about self-care before. But learn to be selfish to a point where it’s protecting yourself because if you don’t, other people will take advantage of you. Some people tell you not to fall on the sword, and others are more than willing to let you light yourself on fire to keep them warm. Learn to place strong boundaries. So, as we all learn to be selfish with the love that we give, give yourself as much love as you would give to those people in your life that you love unconditionally. Give yourself that love because you need to love yourself unconditionally. And because you’re worth it. You make other people happy and deserve the same happiness you give to others. Make yourself a priority because other people cannot make you happy.

  • Ep.26- Your Effort Equals Your Results

Success begets success. It’s hard to start from a place of nothing and magically be motivated. But once you get that first win, the momentum begins, which can take you further than other people around you. In this episode, Kiera and Lia tell about where they learned how vital tenacity, grit, and the willingness to work hard directly led them to success in their lives. If you feel like you’re not getting anywhere in life, that things aren’t working out for you, just look back and see what you did differently when you were more successful. You have proof that you have already been successful in the past. So, pull out those pieces and then implement them again. And remember that your effort equals your results.

  • Ep.25- Uplevel Your Life Unapologetically

Even though it’s hard to have it all, remember to build strong relationships with people who love you, and work on building a relationship with your money to give you the freedom to spend time with those who love you. Do things that lift your soul. Just because you’ve achieved all of the success markers doesn’t mean you’re successful. Focusing on your career allows you to set yourself up for a life of wealth, joy, and ease. But don’t forget to balance everything in your life – balance is so important.

In this episode, Kiera and Lia analyze the importance of upleveling the people in your life. Do things like attend women’s retreats and conferences to network, meet new people, and find a mentor – your heroes are entirely accessible, so find them and ask them. How far could you get if you put your energy towards your career and goals and not spin your wheels on time-wasters?

  • Ep.24- Set Focused Goals

In this episode, Kiera and Lia share some of their current goals with us and explain why it is important to keep our goals short-term, actionable, and measurable. Find goals that make you excited – follow your bliss. They can be big or small. The best way to keep our goals at the forefront of our minds is to write them down every single day, along with an affirmation for the goals. Otherwise, we all know life happens, and we get distracted. Don’t let distractions rob you of your bliss life. A great way to determine goals if you haven’t already made some is to remember the six relationships Lia outlines in her book Everything Is Your Fault: Self, Higher Self, Tribe, Time, Money, and Network.

  • Ep.23- Protect Your Peace this Thanksgiving

You don’t have to talk about politics, the elections, religion, or global events. Have any number of acceptable conversation topics at the ready. That’s how you get through the holiday get-togethers. Whether it’s with your friends, whether it’s with your family, whether it’s with a combination of people: what better time to ask people about their favorite stories of themselves?

The holidays are about family and gratitude. And the thing about humans is that we are all just stories at the end of the day. Allowing someone to share their story and feel heard is the greatest gift you could give someone on a family-oriented holiday. To make them feel seen, heard, and important, and to remember times long since gone that filled them with joy. Listening doesn’t cost you anything.

Take it easy today. Use this podcast as an opportunity to grab some alone time. Put your headphones in and find a quiet space to hang out with Kiera and Lia for a minute. You’re going to make it. Eat the pie. Watch your sugar intake. Eat some vegetables not dripping in butter. (We don’t want anyone to feel yucky.) And remember to make this holiday one of gratitude and peace.
