  • 136. Positive Visualization for the Stage

The fear of standing in front of a crowd and delivering a speech can cause anxiety and nervousness. Using positive visualization techniques can help those fears go away and increase your confidence on the stage. Do you know the fear of standing in front of a crowd and delivering a speech can cause anxiety and nervousness? So many women are afraid to get on stage, because they don't like they way the look, sound, and they're afraid people will judge them.

News flash: people will in fact judge you.

However, many who God has for you to speak to, will NOT! They will value you, respect what you're doing, and become loyal followers. Yet, this is the thing: you have to see yourself out there making moves and inspiring others. It's about positive visualization and that's a great start to putting your faith into action.

I use it all the time and that's one of the key reasons I continue on.

Using positive visualization techniques can help your fears go away and increase your confidence on the stage.he stage.

When it comes to overcoming stage fright, incorporating specific tips, techniques, and routines can build confidence, which can help you overcome stage fright. There's a process to it though and it’s not anything that you need to worry about. Building confidence is a part of the process and it entails setting a clear vision of where you want to go and doing what it takes to get there. Bottom line is that you can overcome stage fright, but these things take time. Give yourself time and give yourself grace. It’s just a matter of time.

  • 134. Being Vulnerable and Assertive as a Public Speaker is a Good Thing

Being a vulnerable and assertive speaker is scary, but it can work if we do it right.

When I first started speaking it was extremely difficult for me to be vulnerable because I’m really private. It doesn’t matter what you see on the stage, it was hard for me to talk about my life.

Today I’m really open and I tell people about my life and story. It doesn’t matter if people talk about me. What matters more is what God tells me to say. And as long as I’m in line with what He has for me, I’m going to be ok and so are the people.

  • 133. Experimenting from the Stage is Great Practice for Public Speakers

Experimentation from the stage means experimenting with different techniques — what works, what doesn’t work.

Write it down. Put that in your repertoire and say ‘ok. this is working very well. I’d like this in my talk. I like this in my presentation or my message.’

Keep trying new things and you’ll get there.

  • 132. From Fear to Faith: How to Learn to Embrace Your Story

Are you a bold communicator? Are you a bold speaker? Do you confidently speak or even in your conversation or do you tend to shy away from expressing your thoughts or your opinions thinking people will think the nerve of her? I used to be that person -- I used to be that scared little girl in my 20’s, my 30’s, and even in my 40’s. I didn’t believe the voice God gave me. I was doubtful and that was not of God, so I went back to the drawing board and back to the foundation God has given me, had given, and will always give me, of who I am in Christ Jesus. And I said oh no, I’m going to speak up. I will not shy away from what God put in me. That’s when I started telling my story and it’s turning out to be a great journey of self-discovery.

  • 131. Master the Mic from the Stage with Your Voice of Influence

Do you know when it comes to speaking and monetizing from the business stage, there is a method to it all? We cannot just wing it. Nevertheless we never let the fear, the discomfort, the unknown, stop us. We proceed accordingly, because it takes preparation and practice to proceed accordingly -- according to how the Lord God wants us to proceed. That means we have to be aligned and tapped in to what He has for us.

  • 130. Speak on the Stage for Impact and Enjoy Life in the Process

When I first started my online journey in 2013, I wasn’t focused or even being consistent  And that wasn’t getting me anywhere. Being consistent a gift and if we unwrap that gift, cherish that gift, and cultivate that gift that God has given us by showing up the way He would have us to show up, we are going to win eventually.

  • 129. Refine Your Speaking Abilities to Build Confidence

What is your focus of inspiration? How do you inspire your audience? How are you using the voice God put in you?

I focus on helping Christian female professionals speak with confidence on an off the stage, monetize from the stage, and obtain their speaker certification. They do that with their God-given gift because God has given us that present — that brilliant blessing. We must expand on that in helping ourselves help other people.

That’s part of how I’m using my voice.

  • 128. Become Excited and Learn to Pivot on Your Public Speaking Journey with Angela Simmons

Public speaking is more than just standing in front of an audience—it’s about sharing your message with the world, inspiring others, and growing as a communicator. As you dive into this journey, you'll discover the excitement that comes from captivating a room, connecting with people on a deeper level, and making a lasting impact. There will be challenges along the way, but they present opportunities to pivot, adapt, and refine your skills.

Angela Simmons learned to embrace the journey, because with each step, she knew she was not just becoming a better speaker—but she was learning to change, pivot to what God had for her by owning her voice. She was then able to overcome obstacles, and thrive in her speaking opportunities.

Some ways to become excited and learn to pivot on your speaking journey:

Embrace Growth: Find excitement in every speaking opportunity as a step toward improvement.

Adaptability is Key: Being open to change helps you respond better to unexpected moments.

Stay Resilient: Learn to pivot smoothly to keep your message impactful, no matter the situation.

  • 127. The Role of Visuals in Public Speaking with Sharon Rand's Testimonial

Did you know PowerPoint/visuals can impact your presentation?

Some speakers think they can just throw anything together, but if your audience can’t read your presentation or see your visuals, they won’t be interested. Consider your visual contrast, font size, and white space (blank space), so people can see what you’re highlighting and speaking about.

Three points regarding the role of visuals in public speaking: #1-they enhance understanding; 2-they help to grab and maintain the attention of your audience; #3-they are helpful for individuals who may have learning disabilities.

Sharon Rand also talks about her testimony of how she didn’t know the difference of simply talking and speaking or how she learned to work with visuals better in her message from the stage.
