Awakening to our higher self is first duty to living our life of yogam, in fulfillment and completion. Yogam is the blessings of all experience, realities and manifestations in euphoric joy, bliss and inspiration. Namaste Vannakam Divine Beings, 
I am Nandhiji. My ancestors are the Pandyas. The Sengol was the traditional process of transfer of power of Consciousness in Dharma of all southern kings- the Cholas, Pandyas, Cheras & the smaller dynasties, going beyond in time to earliest Sangam - the Tamil age of Lemuria preceding the Mohenjo Daro & Harappa civilization. The Sengol is referred to mostly as Dharma Danda throughout the Indian subcontinent as the rule by righteousness. 
The Mahabharatham wisdom of Bheeshma illustrates the highest principles of governance by way of the Dharma Danda. 

From a word which a few knew, Sengol is now in the thought of every Indian as the world learns of the sublime leadership principles of humanity.
