  • Project Re-Build: Manchester United Part 1

On this episode of the MatchDay Review Project Re-Build series we tackle the big one! The re-build of the biggest club in England, arguably the world, Manchester United. It's so big we've had to split into into two podcasts.

In part one we analyse the fall of the Premier League's most successful dynasty and the current situation that the club finds itself in. Starting way before the retirement of the great Sir Alex Ferguson, with the enforced takeover of the club by the Glazer Family. Discussing; the damaging effects of the Glazer ownership, the mistakes made pre-retirement, the poor recruitment, the removal of funds from the club and much more.

Furthermore, we talk about the ill-fated tenure of David Moyes, Louis Van Gaal's Reign, his classless dismissal after the FA Cup Final victory and the Jose Mourinho era at Old Trafford. Also, Ed Woodward's role in the current problems at United, pandering to agents and the lack of a cohesive football structure that has left the club far behind it's rivals.

All this and much more on the 4th episode of Project Re-Build.

In part two, which will be released on March 3rd 2020, we take an in-depth look at the current Manchester United Squad. Analysing; their season so far, Ole's impact, the effect of the Summer signings, the current first team squad, and possible outgoings in the summer and incoming summer transfers.
