Matomo has at its core a lot of interesting features. But sometimes, you just need something very specific that is not provided by the software.
That's were plugin creation comes in. Matomo has been conceived to allow developers to extend its functionalities by adding new ones through plugins. But before creating your own plugin, you need to understand how Matomo works, how it treats the data, how you can access it, and how can integrate to the core of the software.
We'll see, through an example, how to create a simple plugin and how to publish it.
