Tua not only led Alabama to a decisive win over #3 LSU, but gave us yet another name for........you know. Quinnen Willams was SEC player of the week and MY how his NFL stock has rocketed! Auburn had a terrific come from behind victory against the Aggies. Now what about this Saturday? Both Matts agree that Miss State will offer a physical challenge but Bama will prevail, not such a positive prediction for the Tigers in the Deep South's oldest rivalry. Huge tip of the helmet to UAB as the Blazers are now 8-1 and looking at a C-USA title.
Bama at LSU, #1 at #4, Death Valley.....The Matts bring the stats! Will it be a battle for the Cajun Ages? Both agree that Auburn whips the Aggies and Georgia has the thoroughbreds to win in Lexington. Shouts to UAB and Troy. Gotta make a comment on the World Series too.
A Matt 'n Matt show like none other. Matty C's three year grandson, Cole, can be heard through the podcast. However, the show must go on. Matty A starts with the significance of 3 X 4. Auburn found their offense, can they keep it? It's not until November 3 but we are building to an Alabama LSU game much like 2011/12.
Patriot fan charged for tossing beer on a KC Chief! Is Tua's injury more serious than the Tide is indicating? No question Auburn's offensive "injuries" are serious. How is Gus going to right the bus? Also, a quick recap of Matty C's weekend at Talladega, mostly the food.
Auburn has no offense, Alabama has no defense, Matty A and Matty C think that is half right,.....more or less. The guys break down both games and look ahead. "Manny Machado don't admire that 3 run shot!". Matty C was watching the Braves. Matty A has the only reason to miss a Saturday of college football.
Whether you root for Alabama or not, one had to get a terrific feeling when the fans gave Jalen Hurts a standing ovation as he ran onto the field. Redshirt? Bunk! Crimson jersey? You betcha! A perfect example set for team over me! Meanwhile James Franklin's play call at the end of the Penn State battle with Ohio State is being touted as one of the worst decisions in CFB history. And where oh where has the Auburn running game gone?
Well, maybe not the Auburn Tigers according to some fans who were not satisfied with a 34-3 thumping of the little piggies. Kentucky is officially on the contender board but is anyone going to be able to head off the Bulldogs in the East? Tiger Woods is back atop the leaderboard for the first time in 5 1/2 years and how about them Atlanta Braves?
A few of you Andy Griffith fans will catch the reference to Goober Pyle/ Cary Grant. By the way, did you know George Lindsey played college football? Where and what position? Give us the answer on Facebook. Tua is the most exciting offensive player at Alabama since ______. No need to throw the Auburn Tiger out with the swamp water, they are still very good. Donkey of the week goes to the little piggies and just what does a kicker think about while drilling ball after ball into the sideline net? Whoa! Good show!
We can't figure it out, can you? Are they saving his Redshirt year or not? Tua is magic and so is Stidham but how is that going to play out in the SEC? Both Matts share thoughts on 9/11 and their visits to Ground Zero at almost the same time. Burt Reynolds thoughts and "throwed rolls also highlight show #118. Thanks for listening.
That's what the Matts believe in addition to a few other thought on Nick and the Tide's opener. Auburn tamed the Huskies up front. LSU may have been the most impressive in week one. Meanwhile, neither of the Matt's is on board with Nike's decision to use Colin Kaepernick as a spokesperson and somehow the topic dips into school spankings for a brief moment,.....It's football time on Matt 'n Matt!
