There are a rare few people in our world these days that 'need no introduction', but our first guest of the second season is one of them. He shares with us what helped him fall in love with performaning, and it's a lovely story. He hosted almost 1,000 episodes of his childrens television show. He's won a Juno and a Gemini award for his beautiful music and he's a hero to countless kids around the world.

Oh, and he wanted me to tell you that somebody believes in you.

Brendan B Brown of Wheatus

Growing up, (or hell even being alive) in the 2000’s probably means you’re no stranger to Brendan and his band. Countless radio hits including one of the biggest singles of all time with “Teenage Dirtbag” have decorated his musical career. We discussed his origin story with his inspirations leading him into music. He chatted us through the process of self producing the debut smash album from the living room of his moms house, and how much the recording process and the music business in general has changed.

To sum Kris up as simply a game designer is a rather basic way to describe him. He's a musician, a songwriter, a radio host and his most recent creative venture takes him into the card game world. He's also a long time friend, and the conversation touches on all manner of creativity. To quote himself “I’m blessed and cursed with an over active imagination”.

Hip Hop Artist Mugzy

To say Mugzy Brady is passionate about Hip Hop and it’s culture is a massive understatement. He’s dedicated his live to his art form in both writing and live performance, but also pays respect to his craft with a vast knowledge of the history of his chosen genre. We talked ups and downs, crashes and successes and found we had a lot in common for a couple of musicians from different parts of the world. He’s painfully honest about a battle that went wrong, and almost took his life and career with it.

Actor Simon Fisher-Becker 

When he found himself at a crossroads in life; Simon made a deal with his supportive family and rolled the dice. It took hard work, passion, dedication and climbing his way back after a horrific personal incident. As he'll tell us though, all things can have a silver lining. He's working in pantomines, theatres and in film and television including Doctor Who, and Harry Potter to name just a few.

Adam works in his dynamic, unique style from his home studio based in Salt Lake. His love of pop culture has influenced his fantastic work in the video game, interactive children's book and live action film markets. He also teaches digital painting and other drawing classes at Utah Valley University.

Actor Nicholas Carella 

 

A fellow 80’s kid; Nicholas has always been a creative person. From childhood make believe to drama school, into acting, writing and directing as an adult. He splits his time between Toronto and Vancouver and he’s been featured in shows like Supernatural & Designated Survivor. Not content to sit back and “wait for the gigs” he’s also part of the team that produced the series “Paranormal Solutions Inc”.  He tells stories about life on set, living as an artist and pontificates about the state of the world.
