Matthew Hudson-Smith Thinks He Can Break the 400m World Record…Is He Right?

Listen Later

Matthew Hudson-Smith of Great Britain finished 2nd place in the 400m at the Paris Olympics in what was the deepest race in history. His time of 43.44 moved him up to no.5 all-time in the event, and was joined by 4 other guys under the 44 second barrier in that same race. The current world record is 43.03 set back in 2016, but with the current generation of 400m guys running 43 seconds more frequently, could we see that record take down sooner than later?
