Und Niemals Vergessen Eisern Union!

Welcome to episode four of Mattuschka's Right Peg, a podcast in English about 1. FC Union Berlin.

This week Bas, Cherrie, Kyle, Mark & Wilson reflect on the last two games against Schalke and Cologne and look back at the impact of our signings last summer. We look ahead to the run in, and making sure the 'Klassenerhalt' (literal translation: class preservation, i.e staying in the league) is mathematically secure. We also look to our old friend the 2. Bundesliga, and who we'd like to see come up from there.

A big thanks to Die Wallerts for the intro and thanks again to you for listening and for your support. It's great to see and it brightens up the lockdown talking with you about Union!

Welcome to Episode Three of Mattuschka's Right Peg, a podcast in English about 1. FC Union Berlin.

Sometimes there's issues that transcend football, so it was only appropriate we cover #BlackLivesMatter in the first section of the podcast. We look at it from an Union perspective, covering some of the strong voices that have come out of the club in the last fortnight, and experiences on the terraces. We all must do better.

In this episode Wilson, Mark & Kyle were joined by Bas, another member of the Union In Englisch group.

We also cover VSG Altglienicke, a neighbour club of Union, who had been flying high in Regionalliga Nordost (German 4th tier) before Corona took hold.

We then reflect on Borussia Mönchengladbach, and look ahead to Schalke on Sunday.

A big thanks to Die Wallerts for the intro music and also a big thanks to you for listening, we didn't expect such a nice response so it means a lot to us.

Welcome to episode two of 'Mattuschka's Right Peg', a podcast in English about Union Berlin.

This podcast was recorded on May 28th 2020, the day after a 1-1 draw with Mainz.

Wilson, Mark, Cherrie & Kyle are back discussing a rather busy few days for the club. We review the Mainz fixture and we recall our memories of last years promotion play-off. We also cover the Sebastian Polter news that broke not long before recording, and lastly, we look around us at the table and what sort of relegation battle we might be getting into.

Thanks to all of you for listening, and for all the feedback on the last episode. We really appreciate it!

We'd also like to give a special thanks to Die Wallerts who have kindly supplied our new intro!

Welcome to the first episode of 'Mattuschka's Right Peg', a podcast in English about Union Berlin.

This podcast was recorded the day after Union were defeated by Hertha Berlin 4-0 in a ghost game at the Olympiastadion.

After some introductions to who we are and how we came to support Union, Wilson, Mark, Cherrie & Kyle talk about the history of the rivalry between Union & Hertha and how this relates to derbies from our teams in the UK. We reflect on the previous evening's game, and look forward to our upcoming fixture against Mainz.

We'd like to thank you for listening, we'd really appreciate any feedback, and if you'd like to spread the word we'd be very grateful for that too!
