In a spiritual matter, God doesn't want us to stay in an awkward stage in our spiritual walk, but He desires us as born again believers to grow in maturity. Ephesians 4 explains the mark of spiritual maturity as being involved, learning, not being deceived, speaking the truth in love, and growing in Christlikeness.
