Here are the 4 things every believer needs:

1️⃣ COMMUNITY — God didn’t create us to do life alone. Get planted in a local church and surround yourself with people who push you closer to Jesus.

2️⃣ PURPOSE — Every person has gifts God wants to use. Don’t sit on what He placed inside of you. Step into your calling. (Romans 12:4-8)

3️⃣ LOVE FOR THE FAMILY — Real community looks like honoring one another, praying together, being patient, and showing genuine love.

4️⃣ LOVE FOR THE WORLD — We’re called to reflect Jesus everywhere we go. Love people well, serve others, and be a light outside the church walls.

Pastor Jon walks us through Romans 11 to find a clearer view of God’s mercy 🤍

“Has God cast away His people?” Certainly not. God is faithful to His promises and His people. Even when we can’t see it, He is still working, and His plan is not based on our performance.

We were reminded that God will stop at nothing to reach the lost. He uses everything with purpose, even things we don’t fully understand, to draw people to Himself.

At the same time, this chapter calls us to humility. Salvation is a gift of grace. We don’t stand because of who we are, but because of Jesus.

And when life feels confusing, we can trust this

God’s ways are higher

His timing is intentional

His mercy is deeper than we know

Pastor Chad talks about our part in salvation through Romans 10 🤍

God doesn’t just save us, He sends us. We’re invited to be messengers of the gospel to the people around us.

We were challenged to actually see the need. This generation is spiritually open, but many don’t truly know God or His righteousness. People are searching, but they need the truth of Jesus.

The gospel is the only message that truly changes lives. It’s not about having it all together or being perfect. God isn’t asking for your performance, He’s asking for your yes.

You don’t have to be the most knowledgeable or eloquent. God wants your willingness. People don’t just learn from platforms, they learn from you.

So what do we do

We learn the message

We live it out

We share it wherever we go

If you know Jesus, you’re already sent.

In this message, we continue our Romans part II series by studying Romans 9, and learning about God’s sovereignty in salvation. God is sovereign in the process of salvation, and He invites us to be part of the process.

First, we must have an active burden for the lost; for those who don’t know Christ. We can grow in our burden for the lost by praying for them, and by preparing ourselves to help them grow their faith.

Second, we must have the knowledge of these truths about salvation:

1. That God initiates salvation (vs. 9-13).

2. God gives mercy (vs. 14-18).

3. God does everything for His glory (vs. 19-24).

4. God gives salvation (vs. 25-33).

Sometimes it can be hard to see these truths because of our own arrogance, but we study the Word of God so that we can think rightly about the ways of God. You have been chosen and saved by God Almighty, and we can respond to these truths by simply coming to Christ.

Pastor Chad starts our new series through Romans 8, reminding us of some foundational truths we have in Christ. 🤍

No matter our past, our performance, or our struggles, our identity is secure in Him. We don’t have to earn God’s love or prove ourselves worthy. We’re already fully known and fully loved.

Even in suffering, God is still working. What feels painful or confusing right now is not wasted. God uses every season to shape us, grow us, and draw us closer to Him.

And in our weakness, we’re not alone. The Holy Spirit meets us there, intercedes for us, and gives us strength when we don’t have it ourselves.

Nothing about our lives is random. God is intentional, present, and working all things together for good.

So we can live with confidence knowing this:

Nothing can separate us from the love of God.

Pastor Jon continues our “Secure the Bag” series with a powerful reminder: the real question isn’t what do I have? it’s what has my heart?

God is intimately concerned with our well-being. He cares deeply about what’s shaping our lives. In Matthew 6, Jesus teaches that wherever our treasure is, our heart will follow. Our heart is our capacity to love and grow, so if our treasure is placed in things that can fade, be stolen, or destroyed, our hearts become vulnerable too.

What we fix our eyes on shapes everything. Our priorities, our decisions, and our direction all follow.

And Jesus is clear. We can’t serve two masters. It’s not about balance, it’s about who truly leads our lives.

Culture tells us to “secure the bag,” but Scripture invites us to see our possessions differently. Whose bag is it really? Last night’s message gave us a new perspective and a bigger invitation for this topic.

In Psalm 24, we see that David understood that God owns it all, and that he has entrusted us to be stewards of the things He has given us in this life. One day we will give an account for how we have stewarded our possessions.

Jesus wants us to invest in the things that matter most. Success = faithful stewardship, in the kingdom of God. A faithful steward sees money as a tool, a test, and a testimony.

In this message, we had the privilege of hearing from Ken and Carrie Liles who were missionaries that served in Iran. They shared their experiences and encouraged us on how to live faithfully in a world filled with uncertainty. 🌍

One thing they reminded us of: freedom isn’t simply doing what we want, it’s living the way God calls us to live.

Even in places where the gospel faces opposition, it continues to move forward. The message of Jesus cannot be stopped by circumstances, politics, or war. God is always preparing a way before us, wherever He calls us to go.

They challenged us as young adults to let our hearts break for what breaks God’s heart, to pray for those who are persecuted, to pray for those suffering in war, and to remember that God deeply loves people and desires for them to be saved.

No matter what is happening in the world, God’s timing is perfect, His mission is still moving, and He is working through every hardship to bring hope and a future.

Let our prayer be:

“Lord, break my heart for what breaks Yours.” ❤️

How do you handle entitled thoughts when they appear? In Mark 9, we see an example of how Jesus shows how to deal with entitled thoughts. Jesus identifies the thought, informs the thought, then impacts the thought.

We may not always think of entitled thoughts as something we wrestle with, but they are important to address when renewing our minds. Entitled thinking can look like thoughts of, “I deserve better than what I’m getting.” These kind of thoughts will drift you further from Jesus more than any other kind of thoughts, and can be dangerous when we are blind to seeing it in ourselves. Jesus said in Mark 9, “If anyone desires to be first, he will be last.”

2: Combat entitled thinking by caring for the parts of the world in need.
