As the year is gradually wrapping off, what extra work are you putting in place to end on good note?

Do you know that as the seconds rolls into minutes, minutes into hour, hours into day, days into month, & months into years, we are gradually getting older?

Oh! Now you know.

Therefore, the need to act now while you can, can never be overemphasized.

You need to understand that, time waits for no one neither is it a respecter of any man.

The same 24hours allocated to the rich is also freely given to the poor.

How well you handle it, determines how far you'll go in life.

More so, you will agree with me that a time wasted can never again be regained.

January to November has gone and can never be replayed.

What are you doing with the limited time left?

Yes, I understand the fact that so many of us had one or two resolutions made at the start of the year with so much excitement.

I want to achieve this and that in the year 2020 and then lockdown came and crumbled all you might have mapped out for the year.

Leaving you no other option than to resort to your fate and the desire to pick up again crashed out in a blink.

You exclaimed, Ah God! What a year full of setbacks.

You brooded over it and gave several excuses.

Many lost their lives in the process.

Now, relax a bit! 😊

Believe you me, when I say I understand your plight because I've been through this same mess with you.

I won't also forget to say that 2020 hit me so hard to the point of frustration and depression but in all I kept my gaze focused on the mark.

Obviously, you all at one point or the other would have had 1001 reasons to give up on yourselves and let go of that one thing that keeps you going.

But I'm here to inform you that giving up is never an option to consider or even embrace.

Now, you've made it to the final lap of the year, what different action would you take to make the coming year worthwhile?

Interestingly, in a twinkle of an eye, we'll be saying a final goodbye to 2020 and embrace the new year with a good fate.

Oops! 2020 will be gone for life.

CONSISTENCY

Consistency is the process of being consistent at whatever you set out to do.

It is an act of staying committed to your passion without losing focus on the set goal.

It means practicing an act overtime to become better without giving up halfway.

Consistency could also mean marrying your goals, aspiration and vision with so much enthusiasm and passion.

It's a drive that pushes you to become better than your former without losing sight on the goal ahead.

Over the week, I got an August call from a man of God, all the way from Portharcourt. One whom I so much hold to a high esteem. Seeking for a consultation service on how to go about his book.

He started off by acknowledging my written works so far on the online space, saying Maureen, I love what you've been doing. You're truly an inspiration to many and having searched through my friend list, I realize you're a great writer, Author and one who could profer an urgent and befitting solution to my book needs.

I exclaimed, Wow!

On the call, I spent minutes analysing all he needed to know when it comes to the business of writing book.

After the whole conversation, he thanked me and as well prayed for me.

All my life, I've never seen such kind of humility expressed in all sincerity.

He never allowed his status quo to deprive him of the value he stands to gain from me.

And I'm glad, God used me as a vessel to beckon to his need when he called for it.

More so, for sometime now, I've been getting series of enquiries from interested persons to learn from me on the art and business of writing.

Oh yes, the request have been coming in numbers.

Trust me, when I say something is actually cooking and it will be a rare kind of blast.

Wait for it!

At this point, you will agree with me that, if I wasn't doing something right or failed to be consistent in writing, someone in high authority as that Man of God wouldn't have entrusted in me the responsibility of such magnitude.

Why am I sharing this?

This is a pointer that gradually, my written works are being recognized on this space.

Consistency and God brought me this far.

Often times, I feel discouraged to share weekly updates and the thought of giving up would set in. But then, when this thought creeps in, there's this strong will that reminds me of how I started and the crown that lies ahead.

Then, the sudden desire to press on will eventually surpass the former.

Do I face challenges?

Of course I do but my passion for writing keeps me going.

Having in mind that it's the end that matters the most, not the beginning.

Now hear me, no matter the circumstances that might present it ugly face before you, never lose sight of the goal ahead.

The journey won't be 💯 rosy but your determination and focus will keep you going despite all odds.

Keep at that one thing you're passionate about.

You can't be everywhere at the same time.

Define your goals and stay committed to it.

I have failed in so many line of businesses but the narrative changed the very moment I took writing as a career. I'm so passionate about everything that entails writing to the extent I can't go a day without scribbling words on paper.

In fact, ask me anything on writing while sleeping, I'll sure answer you correctly with ease.

That's the level I've grown to become and I'm currently operating on, which wouldn't have been possible if I wasn't consistent.

Over the week, I was pondering on what subject matter to dwell on for the new week, none seems to prevail until Sunday evening. When the inspiration to write on this topic, dropped in my mind.

So today, I shall be talking about this striking topic, CHALLENGE YOUR GROWTH.

Sometime ago, I stumbled on a post on one of Africa's finest writers community on this space. Requesting the service of volunteers for an international YOUNG AND MORE youth convention.

NEGOTIATING FOR GLOBAL DOMINANCE.

With so much enthusiasm and alacrity at a first glance on the theme, I enrolled almost immediately. Without first paying cognizance of what would be required of me.

I needed growth badly.

I wanted to dare for more.

Oh yes, I wanted a great shift in my mindset.

All I desired was to improve in everyway possible.

So, volunteering to serve a great community with global influence of over 24000 membership set a pace for my intellectual growth.

Prior to the event, I've always had this mindset that I might not be able to finish up strong for the 3 days scheduled virtual convention of about 5 solid hours spent daily on the YouTube space.

I quickly resolved in my mind that, if I can but attend a day's session, I would just lock up and not further.

Care to know why?

My mindset has been programmed to believe that I can't go beyond just one day.

Moreso, considering the data consumption that would be needed through the remaining days is a strong signal for me to back off, abruptly.

But guess what!

With a sudden strong will to PUSH further, I made it through for the 3 days without a break.

How I could break that limit remains a mystery till date.

The very first day the Convention took off served a paradigm shift in my mindset.

I just wanted more out of life.

I became restless and the desire to top up my data became my topmost priority.

I was serving the role of a volunteer in content creation and publicity, yet actively participating in the Convention.

Some of the contents used in promoting the Convention were designed by me and a host of others. Which can be majorly seen on my Twitter and Instagram pages.

I was discharging my duties passionately as though my life depended on it.

Yes, my self growth was 💯 reliant on it.

Gradually, I attended the first, second and the final lap enjoying every bit of it.

As the rhema was just oozing out like a newly baked bread released from the oven.

I was dazed at the level of energy I channeled into making my time out there, worthwhile.

At long last, I patted myself and muttered, 'Maureen I'm proud of you.'

What I thought I couldn't do, I broke the limit and surpass it.

I can tell you for fact, that 3 days encounter marked the beginning of great things to come.

I became unusually thirsty for success.

My eyes were further drawn open on the need to pay attention to one's circle of friends.

As the desire to be intentional began to creep in.

Little did I know that a well refined package was awaiting all volunteers after the Convention which we weren't informed from the onset.

That was how I became known in CWIN Africa as a Content and Publicity Volunteer.

To further challenge my growth, I began to buy books that will help boost my writing skill.

Recently, I bought 3 powerful books on writing, authored by Miss Dicta Ijeoma Okoye.

The president of CWIN Africa.

All in the quest to improve intellectually.

This is a pointer to as many who desire success.

Success is never cheap.

Success requires sacrifice.

To challenge your growth, you must be ready to pay the price to get the PRIZE.

Your attitude towards success will determine your altitude in life.

It might interest us to know that, success only comes to those who pursue it diligently.

Your attitude is a function of your mindset and your mindset is a function of how far you'll go in life.

It's no news that the online media is a major tool needed for brand profitability and Facebook is one of such tools which has proven to be more reliable if you must sell on the online space.

However, It helps bridge the gap between brands and consumers.

Sadly, so many brands and individuals have lost their core purpose of thriving on this space.

It's either they don't know why they are here or they are just there to catch some fun via chit-chat and posting irrelevancies to while away time.

It's therefore of essence to understand and gain clarity on the business of Facebook.

So today, my main focus will be centered on HANDLING FACEBOOK for brand profitability.

I tell you friends, we lose money each time we mishandled our online space.

You can't keep messing up your Facebook wall with an I-DON'T-CARE-ATTITUDE and expect people to take you serious or even patronize you.

Here are some highlighted instances why potential customers will never patronize you:

📍If as a brand owner, people still tag you to their post and it reflects on your wall, then you're still sitting on a bicycle.

I can't recount the number of times I've declined so many tagged posts. Not because I don't love them but because everything and anything can not just go in on my space.

Take a walk down my timeline, you will observe two key things;

1. I don't tag people to my posts, yet they command engagements. And if you notice any post I tagged someone, it spells that such fellow is highly involved in that post.

2. You won't see any post tagged to my name except on rare occasions where I'm involved in such post.

Whenever I get a tagged post, I choose to either decline or accept.

Declining means, it's unrelated to me neither am I in such post.

Even if I am, chances are that it's not relevant to my brand name and it can never reflect on my wall.

If I accept any tagged post, then it must speak something vital about me or a project I'm handling.

Take my words, it's not pride but my reality. Anything can not just go in.

As far as I'm concerned, facebook is more like an online office for me and I just can't choose to mess it up with irrelevancies.

How can I be at the office, hustling my ass out and someone somewhere will tag me to their post?

With the caption, 'chilling with 97 others at the Eko Hotel, Lagos.'

Really! Is that so?

Never will such be found on my wall.

The truth is that, we leave money behind, each time we're careless about our Facebook page.

Losing potential customers on the go.

No doubt, facebook is one of the largest online marketing space and all eyes are on you. Watching your every move.

You can't choose to behave anyhow.

Be composed and we'll organized.

The moment we realize this raw fact and work on it, the better for our brand.

So today, I've got 5 intentionallity hacks for global dominance, I'd be sharing with us, drawn from her well of inspiration.

1. The within principle:

This principle implies that we should look inward to see that potential lying in us that needs to be nurtured.

Take time to discover what is inside of you.

You're the only person that can discover what is inside of you.

Look at what is within you.

Discover what is within to be able to touch lives.

2. The flow principle:

This states you must have to share what is inside of you for people to flow with you.

There's a message inside of you.

Discover the value in you and let people flow with it.

How?

By writing books

By creating content.

By making insightful videos.

Don't hoard your knowledge.

Let people know you by sharing what's inside of you.

Do not leave the world as if you did not live in it.

You're not born to decorate the earth but to impact your world.

3. Focus idealogy

This simply states that you need to be focus driven at whatever you want to do.

The person who talks to everybody talks to nobody.

The person who is everywhere is heading to nowhere.

If you divert your vision for another's direction, you will be stagnant for life.

4. The network strategy

This implies that you can never be better than the people you network with.

It's either you network with the best or you network with who are shallow minded.

You can't network with the gossip, the lazy and expect to impact lives.

Impossible!

When you network with 4 millionaires, you'll certainly be the fifth millionaire in that circle.

Moreso, when you network with 6 intentional persons, you will eventually be the 7th intentional person in that circle.

Your network of friends determines your networth.

You're always valued based on the people you follow.

Change your network if your network is not making you grow.

Only those who can network with you should be in your circle.

5. The Goal mindset

You need to have a goal, a vision.

You can not get to the height you want to become in life without your mindset fixed on your goal.

You can not attain any enviable height without seeing the end from the beginning.

Your goal should be so large and your mindset should align with it.

Even if you have a goal and your mindset doesn't agree with it, you can't achieve it.

Set a goal and believe in it.

No one is really lucky.

Everyone making it in life today, have at one point decided to be Intentional in setting goals and worked towards achieving it.

Focus on your goals.

Don't be distracted with other's vision.

You need to have a large goal and your mindset must accompany it.

Determine to sacrifice something in order to achieve what you desire in life.

In our present world and with the massive advancement of technology, you will strongly agree with me that learning can take place anywhere. Irrespective of the distance involved.

Moreso, it must not necessarily be in the confines of a classroom before we can acquire knowledge.

All that matters is the consumption of value emanating from the rightful source.

Therefore, based on the knowledge gathered so far in my writing career, I've been able to categorize places of learning into the following categories:

I've been an ardent fan of an industrious friend, named Evelyn Williams, who yearly organizes conference meetings for ladies of purpose.

Prior to last two Saturdays when the program was held, I've always broadcasted it on my WhatsApp status to go with as many ladies who are so intentional about living purposefully and doing amazing things they are originally created for.

But saddening enough, despite my continuous creation of awareness, none took advantage of this rare opportunity and BOOM, I went alone.

I can tell you for fact, that third encounter set in the pace for greater achievements to come by.

I was exposed to various facet of life beyond human comprehension.

I gained more clarity on what living in Purpose looks like.

Oh! Not as though, I don't know what living in Purpose is all about but my desire to learn more overshadowed me.

Talk about that session when a UK based guest of honor figured me out among others and said to the Host,

'I would love to take a personal shot with Maureen.'

Then, he paused halfway and asked no one in particular.

Do you know why I want to have this special shot with Maureen?

They all seemed lost in thought 🤔.

Then, he grinned with smile 😊.

Well, I want this special shot because I want to watch her win and doing amazingly well someday soon with the world stand at attention with an applause for her 👏🏽.

This is beautiful!

At that point, I was perplexed.

I wouldn't fathom what to make out of his statement whether to shed tears of Joy 😢 or just smile. 😊

In my heart of heart, my happiness knew no bound.
