Drug use and violence landed this Danbury native to maximum security prison. At just 16 years old, DJ Pannell robbed a U.S. Marine with a group of friends, stealing a machine gun and other weaponry. This was a major step in what would be years in the prison system, serving time at maximum and minimum security prisons.

After leaving prison, DJ Pannell got clean, started a family, and built a successful life for himself and his family.
