In the first episode of Rockford Reading Daily, Leslie begins reading “Have Black Lives Ever Mattered” by Mumia Abu-Jamal (a political prisoner). This book focuses on the plethora of Police murders that have taken place throughout the United States of America. The introduction focuses on the history of black people in the American society.

In episode 4 of the Social Construct of Leslie podcast series we pick up in the middle of the 3 Marches protest that took place on June 2nd, 2020 in Rockford, Illinois. This episode marks the first guest appearance to take place on the Social Construct of Leslie podcast as well with Rabbit, of the May 30th Alliance, speaking about his experiences on June 2nd, 2020.

On the third episode of The Social Construct of Leslie, we go back to the events directly after May 30th, 2020 and leading up to the march on June 2nd, 2020. Leslie also speaks on his introduction to the organization RYA and his conflicting emotions on becoming active in the movement. Leslie also walks us through his experiences on the days after the murder of George Floyd and how those days pushed him to be involved in the protest that happened on May 30th.
