The Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Yeti, Skunk Ape: these are the many names for the legendary creature that people all around the world have had encounters with. This week we get into the theories and conspiracies surrounding the infamous Bigfoot. Some believe he is a gigantic prehistoric ape while others lean into the paranormal, going down the rabbit hole of inter-dimensional travel, portals, aliens and more. Take a ride with us as we drop down into that rabbit hole and try to figure out who or what is The Bigfoot.

This week we tackle the phenomenon known as Skinwalker Ranch. Now a privately owned estate, the ranch is known for its UFO sightings, mysterious lights, portals with humanoid creatures crawling out of them, cattle disappearance and mutilation, and of coarse Skinwalkers.

We tell the story of the Sherman family, who purchased the farm in 1994 and began experiencing the strangeness of the property right away. The Shermans would eventually come forward to tell their story to the local paper, giving Skinwalker Ranch national attention. This eventually led a Pentagon funded scientific study group (known as NIDS) to purchase the property and study the ranch's strange qualities. Presently the ranch is owned by an entrepreneur named Brandon Fugal who has also been studying the ranch. He wants to reveal its mysteries to the public, and is behind the show called The Secret Of Skinwalker Ranch on the History Channel. We go in depth on the history of the land, legends of the Skinwalkers themselves, and theorize what is really going on in this supernaturally charged area of the country. 

This week the MIS Crew discusses haunted places, the tragedy that surrounds them and the supernatural effects they can have on the people who dare to enter them. We focus on two of the most infamous haunted locations, The Pennhurst State School and The Cecil Hotel.

The Pennhurst was an institution for the mentally and physically disabled with a long history of over crowding, abuse and death that resulted in the eventual closing of the facility. Since then the Pennhurst has become a hot spot for the supernatural and a widely visited and researched paranormal sight. 

The Cecil Hotel is a hotel in downtown LA hotel with a dark history of drug abuse, suicide, violence and tragedy. We discuss one of the most infamous and mysterious cases at the Cecil, the case of Elisa Lam. Her tragic story is full of synchronicity and bizarre circumstances that have left many uncertain of what really happened. We dive deep into this mystery and discuss what happened, and who or what influenced this tragic story.

My wife, Lillian Gonzalez, dives deep into her struggle with mental illness and where the lines of mental illness and the paranormal intersect.  As a first year college student Lillian developed bipolar disorder, and began to experience symptoms that were characteristic of both mental illness and the supernatural. As her mental health deteriorated, things such as hearing voices, seeing demonic visions, and even an encounter with the devil became the new normal. After looking at her situation from a purely medical perspective, she started to examine the spiritual side of things as well. Through community, prayer, and spiritual revelation Lillian felt herself freed from the darkness that had taken over her mind. While she still lives with bipolar disorder today, she believes her spiritual healing has infinitely changed her life for the better.
