MAYDAY™ Real Talk and Raw Stories

Fonua Pole's rugby league career almost didn't exist. His mum pulled him out of the AFL pathway because match days clashed with Sunday church, and at the time, Victoria only had four junior league teams running.

The grind nobody tracked, the knee that unravelled his 2025 season, and the faith he's built his entire identity around.

He talks openly about what Benji Marshall said to him behind closed doors, and how that conversation carried him through the back half of the year when nothing else would.

Faith sits at the centre of all of it. Fonua breaks down the Psalm 121:1 tattoo on his forearm, the weekly church runs with close mate Jahream Bula, and the shift from routine religion into something he now chases on his own terms.

His message is simple: you don't need to have it figured out to believe, you just have to keep showing up, and his goals for this year start with one word on his mind. Consistency.

Denan Kemp sits down with Terrell May for the full story.

Growing up week-to-week on the Gold Coast, getting bullied through school, and escaping into video games, Denan never even played league until he was 17.

A single Confraternity Shield carnival later, the Brisbane Broncos came calling.

Opens up about the broken promises & club politics that killed his love for the game.

So he ended up in a car at 4am doing an electrical apprenticeship telling himself there had to be more to life.

That desperation built the Locker Room, now Bloke in a Bar, Australia’s #1 Sports Podcast!

Mega Unit opens up about the time wasted in business and his relationships with some of international sport's most recognised names.

From dinners with Islam Makhachev and Khabib Nurmagomedov, to lunches with Tyson Fury, to business moves with football legends Fabio Cannavaro and Francesco Totti.

He's spent a night in Dubai with Ryan Garcia and what struck him most wasn't the fame, but it was the questions.

Curious, searching questions from a guy who, underneath it all, Mega Unit believes is extremely lonely and doesn't have a real friends around him.

Then things get deep.

He breaks down the biggest misconceptions about Islam, why the Bondi attack had nothing to do with the religion, and why most people reject it before they ever understand it.

Usually because nobody ever told them the truth about it.

KPP grew up in South East London, believes Sydney feels more like home than Newcastle ever did.

He reveals UK rap stories that shaped his upbringing and the time he was in a Stormzy music video at 14.

Benji Marshall personally pulled him aside and told him to play free and express himself this season, KPP says it’s the biggest turning point of his career.

Oh and he's part Viking. DNA test confirmed it. 25% Faroese.

There are great players. There are champions. And then there's a rare breed who attempt to transcend the game entirely – ascending to a pantheon reserved for the truly elite.

-

Nathan Cleary continues to strive toward that very pinnacle of the game.

-

Five consecutive grand finals. Four premiership rings. Two Clive Churchill Medals. The numbers are staggering, but they don't tell the real story.

-

This is the man who turned pressure into performance, first grand final heartbreak into a dynasty that may well never be topped again, and a father-son dynamic that ranks among rugby league's greatest accomplishments.

-

I'm your host, Terrell May, and in this explosive Season 1 finale, I'm standing on business with Clez himself, the most decorated halfback of his generation, and at just 27 years old, he's only getting started.
