In a game that started off as promising as it gets, this game got away from the Celtics quickly. The Celtics started the game on a 9-0 run and saw that lead get all the way up to 19 midway through the first. That massive lead was built on 8-10 from 3 but several guys making beautiful backdoor cuts for easy buckets. This game looked over 7 minutes into the game and that is exactly when the game really started because the Bulls went on a 30-9 run to take a lead before Mazzulla even called his first timeout.

We saw Tatum get another technical called on him and we even saw Mazzulla and Grant ejected from today's game. While the officiating was horrible in this game, that is not at all the reason for this epic collapse. The Celtics lost this one because we couldn't hit a shot to save our lives after that first quarter and the rebounding margin was as wide as I have seen in a long time. After starting 8-10 from three, they went on to shoot 10-38 (26%) which is just miserable and they also got outrebounded 60-44 which ultimately led to this 120-102 loss to the Bulls. We've talked about maturity and overcoming obstacles in the first 3 games of the year but all of those went out the window real quick in this one. The Celtics have a while to let this sit with them as their next game isn't until Friday so here's to hoping they pull themselves together, watch some film and come ready to play against the Cavs and get back on track.
