McBee Dynasty Season 3 Episode 5 Recap: "Business Beef"

Episode Summary

Episode 5 blends relationship drama with major business tension as the McBee family faces the reality of restructuring the farm while a promising new tallow skincare business sparks questions over ownership, profits, and trust.

Steven Jr. surprises Kacie with a potbelly pig named Todd, fulfilling one of her dreams, while Masha prepares for Steven McBee Sr.'s prison sentence by organizing a boudoir calendar photoshoot.

At the meat processing facility, Galyna and Tessa continue helping dismantle the operation as the family's restructuring moves forward. The emotional weight of losing the business is evident, especially for longtime employees.

One of the lighter moments turns surprisingly revealing during a couples' game night. Jesse, Allie, Cole, and Kacie answer intimate relationship questions that expose deeper problems. Jesse and Allie admit they've become more like co-parents than husband and wife since having Summer, struggling with communication, intimacy, and feeling appreciated. Allie shocks Jesse by revealing she quietly stopped taking birth control, while both acknowledge they don't feel heard or prioritized in their marriage.

Meanwhile, Kacie's tallow skincare business appears ready to explode. She invested $12,000 of her own money, works on it nearly every day, and has yet to receive any income. Steven Sr. initially promised it would be entirely her business, but now believes the company could generate $5 million annually if properly scaled.

Steven proposes a new ownership structure:

• 40% McBee Farm
• 40% Kacie
• 20% Allie Ecklund for marketing and branding expertise. 

Kacie is blindsided and uncomfortable giving away part of her business to someone she's only known for a month, especially after seeing Steven previously give Galyna ownership in another company. Cole fully supports Kacie keeping majority ownership, while Allie Ecklund believes stronger branding and marketing could make the business the future of the farm.

The episode closes with Jesse and Allie finally having an emotional heart-to-heart. Both admit they've neglected their relationship, taken each other for granted, and failed to communicate. Through tears, they agree they still want their marriage to work, but Allie makes it clear she needs to see real actions—not just promises—before believing things will truly change.
