Hello there! This idea came because I wanted to read a bit about fossils and to share how you can learn from old outdated books. So I put both ideas together, and here we are! I have planned a full six weeks of uploads EVERY DAY (except weekends) and I'm looking forward to all the dinosaur info!

I wanted to continue with the discussion on the Odyssey by reading a bit from a translation of The Odyssey by Emily Wilson, but first for anyone unfamiar; There has been some interesting online discourse over The Odyssey about translation choices and such, which made me want to talk about the nature of translations and compare a few. So here we are, and this time with an actual reading! Today we will be reading one of my favorite translations of the Odyssey, with Caitlin as your reader, and reading in a simple plain prose style.
