Feb. 24, 2025 The memorial service will be held on Friday, Feb. 28, 3 to 7 pm at the Parkside Memorial, 315 S Lexington St. Hrefna Kristensen Cereno, 65, was born in Iceland, long-time resident of Delano. She was a nurse for the elderly for 35 years and enjoyed her work immensely. She will be deeply missed. She brought laughter brought laughter to all who knew her, and anyone she met. She is survived by husband Gil and son Karl; son Gunnar, his wife Jennifer, and grandchildren Emma and Erik; daughter Unnur Lilja and her husband Adam.

Feb. 11, 2025 On behalf of the Santaella Family: Herman S. Santaella, 69, of Delano, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. Known as Dad, Grandpa, Big Brother, “Hank,” and “Curt,” Herman was a beloved figure in our community, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Born in Mercedes, Texas, Herman moved to Richgrove, California, before eventually settling in Delano with his family. He attended Richgrove Elementary, Fremont Elementary, and Delano High School, where he was a standout baseball player and pitcher for the Delano Tigers.
