On the Saturday between Good Friday and Easter, hope looked buried. In this episode, Rob Flint Jr. walks us through Matthew 27:62-66, the passage most people skip on the way to the resurrection, and shows us what happens when the world’s most powerful forces try to contain a dead man. More than that, he asks the honest question: when God feels silent in your own life, where do you turn? This is an episode for anyone who has ever found themselves in the waiting.

What do you do with hope when life has already broken you? In this episode, Pastor Russell Howard takes us to a single verse, 1 Peter 2:24, and unpacks three things the cross of Jesus accomplishes: our burden is borne, our bondage is broken, and our brokenness is healed. This is where Living Hope begins. Not in positive thinking, but in what Christ has already done for us on the cross.

What does the Bible mean when it says a household believed, and what credit do believing parents deserve when their child comes to faith?
In this episode of Beyond the Notes, Pastor Russell Howard follows up on questions that came in after his Sunday message on the parables of the treasure hidden in a field and the pearl of great price. He works through the four household passages in Acts, including the account of the Philippian jailer in Acts 16:31-33, and applies a foundational principle of biblical interpretation: clear Scripture must interpret less clear Scripture. That leads him to Ezekiel 18, a chapter that addresses the question of inherited righteousness and inherited guilt directly. He traces the chapter's three-generation argument and closes with the theological claim the chapter makes plainly.
Whether you grew up in a believing home and have wondered how much that shaped your faith, or you are a parent burdened by a child who has walked away, this episode gives you a clear biblical framework. Families influence faith. But salvation is not transmitted through a family. It spreads one soul at a time.

The Fate of the Fallen, from our Midweek Bible Study: "Book of Jude" - 3.18.26
Taught by Russell Howard.
Unbelief is not a passive thing. It is active, dangerous, and Scripture takes it with complete seriousness. In this Wednesday night teaching, Pastor Russell Howard works through Jude 5-7, showing how three Old Testament examples, apostate Jews, fallen angels, and the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, each trace the same fatal pattern: unbelief leads to rebellion, and rebellion leads to judgment. He addresses the difference between someone who has genuinely trusted Christ and someone who has only ever dabbled around the edges of Christianity. Whether you are wrestling with doubt, examining your own faith, or trying to understand what the Bible says about those who walk away, this teaching gives you a biblical framework to think clearly and stand firm.

Why does God allow evil to continue if Jesus is already King? That question isn't just philosophical. For most of us, it is personal.
Ryan Flint brings this week's Matthew 13 study to Beyond the Notes, focusing on the parable of the wheat and the weeds. The episode covers why God's delay of judgment is not weakness but mercy, what Charles Spurgeon observed about every breath being evidence of God's patience, and what 2 Peter 3:9 tells us about God's disposition toward those who haven't yet believed.
Every person who has trusted Christ has already been blessed by that patience. This episode is for anyone carrying questions about suffering or injustice, and for believers who need a reminder of why the harvest has not yet come.
